Agreed BSbafflesbrains! Cassiodorus, I haven’t met Tony personally, this interview of him was taken two months ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hotQSPlSbds I live in VA, and report about announcements of candidacies accross the country.

Spread the word. Tony Gronowicz (G) is running for mayor of NY city 2013.  New York City of course being the birth-place of Occupy. When he ran for U.S. House earlier this year, he condensed his platform into four points: 1.   A New Deal, WPA -like program that offers a living wage and full employment [...]

    2012-12-17 10:14:50View | Delete

There are a couple campaigns that are not yet official, but could be if some amount of public enthusiasm arrives. Both potential candidates have platforms nearly identical to the New Progressive Alliance’s Unified Progressive Platform: http://newprogs.org/unified-progressive-platform-ratified Michael Fulks (OK-2) (I) championed a 4.3% as an Independent running for U.S House this year.  This in one of [...]

green_socialist_candidates commented on the diary post Second Chance in Texas, Maria Selva Running for State Senate (CD-6) by green_socialist_candidates.

    2012-12-15 07:13:22View | Delete

I completely agree about the website HotFlash. I’ve contacted the candidate in the past trying to get at least a Facebook page set up. Apparenty she is working on both the Facebook and NationBuilder website. For whatever reason, Texas candidates tend to be less visible on the web.

green_socialist_candidates commented on the diary post Obama’s Administration is a third term Bush Administration by lakota.

    2012-12-14 12:35:05View | Delete

In recent news, Obama’s wording of leaving cannabis users alone does not mention dispensaries. If Obama’s first term means anything, we can see more raiding of dispensaries just as we have for the last decade, including under Bush.

Maria Selva (G) is running for a special Texas state senate election (CD-6). Democrat winner Mario Gallegos died within days of the 2012 election. The special election to fill the seat is presumed to take place Jan. 22nd-26th. Results of the election may not be known till March of next year.

Maria seeks to tackle issues [...]

    2012-12-13 13:21:25View | Delete

An announcement of a completely grass-roots campaign for Rochester, NY City Council. Drew Langdon (G) previously ran for state assembly.  His campaign is receiving some attention in Green Youth circles, but word hasn’t spread far beyond. As this is a 2013 election, campaign preparation are in very beginning stages.   In previous campaigns, Drew has [...]
