Ellen is right – most people didn’t know that and probably most don’t care either, until somethig happens to them or one of their friends. This is one of those “Christian” things where hate is ok. Elen is also right when she says it won’t be corrected in this political climate – good grief, the right won’t even allow a jobs program to go through that will benefit the country, what chance does the LGBT community have with them?

The Repubs got my social security in their pockets with the WEP and GPO. This year, as a semi retired self-employed person, I paid more in Social Security taxes than I got from them. As any repub to get rid of this and they will tell you that if they do Social Security will go broke. The Dems won’t do anyting about it either, so no matter what I get screwed!
