Provides a real picture of the disasterous consequences which will inevitably befall any government (primarily its public taxpayers) when the monopolistic, corporate-ass-licking provisions* of the TPP are brought to bear. *Crux of the entire issue/”crafted bill”. Craven pols sucking corporate dongs at the expense of their childrens’ future. Best thing the federal government can do [...]

A foolproof plan for China – especially the Canadian relocation and the cudgels provided by NAFTA and The TPP for lawful extraction of earned profits.

I know a Florida kid whom is attending Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh on a scholarship. He is studying engineering. Nice, quiet well-mannered young man.

The kid’s family is a bunch of Republican bigots.

He found a Jewish girlfriend at college and the family doesn’t like her mostly b/c she is Jewish (and not rich enough). Of course, few girls could likely meet the family’s approval. (WASPY Millionaire’s daughter with a pedigree, perhaps.)

Anyway. Carnegie Mellon. Another Ivy League Right Wing Institution. If the parents and grandparents cannot impose Hard Right Dogma on a kid, the college will surely endeavor to do so.

Good Riddance to one Mellon-Scaife. What a prick.

  • Federal, State and Local Government often demonstrates amazing creativity in generating tax revenue – provided that this revenue is to be squeezed from peons only.

Just look how creative they were in taxing waitresses’ tips.

  • The French Revolution was fairly successful. At least, in removing the heads, they couldn’t come back into power.

The American Revolution somehow never broke the umbilical cord with The City Of London.

Like alcohol, depends on frequency of use and dosage. Overuse of MJ is seldom as deadly as overuse of alcohol. Besides, Hemp offers a wide range of green industrial uses.

Francis broke out of the gate with a barrage of refreshing populist economic rhetoric (rhetoric, only – no call to action, of course, and no self-reflection – see any wealth, hoarding or greed, anywhere?). Now, after the aloof Pope Benny – the disaster that was the last pope – along comes Francis… Mending fences with [...]

There is much more warmongering to be done! Judy Miller is one of the annointed ones – divinely called upon to pile it on. With Judy, there are no humane principles which might interfere with full on Zionism – whatever the cost in blood and treasure (provided it’s not her blood or treasure!) may be. [...]

Birth Control must be addressed in tandem with economic conditions and economic systems. Runaway population growth in conjunction with environmental destruction (for profit or otherwise) will destroy the planet. The cold reality is that poverty is a control mechanism on explosive population growth.

If the poor are “comforted”, there will be many more successful births. Numerous births – the sign of macho verility and female fertility are prized virtues among the world’s poor. The last thing the world needs (besides environmentally destructive and greedy millionaires and billionaires) is more births.

The Catholic Church, Christian Doctrine, and Islam, etc. are all gung ho about increased population.

    Stupid, Ignorant, anti-science and anti-progress.

I presume that we agree that where Military Incursions are concerned, expenses are never in consideration. I suppose where we disagree is where I insist that Obama was groomed by the CIA to be a puppet. (All presidents puppets back to JFK.) Perhaps it was not the CIA, but instead another clandestine group. I’m the [...]

The expenses incurred via Military Operations are never a problem or even a consideration.

Obama is following orders. He doesn’t want to be like JFK. He hasn’t got the heart for it.

Obama was probably groomed by the CIA early on to be the phony grinning shitbird that he is.

I’ll bet the widow or a CI Yay ghost writer wrote much of it and completed it. Who is to question the authenticity of the prose? Too convenient to have a completed novel fall in her lap. Much more believable to say that the work was unfinished. The book could be a useful tool for [...]

If any journalist seriously threatens the status quo, he will at least become an outcast. Michael Hastings, of course received the maximum penalty.

We can assume that whatever he knew and had been privy to let loose, has been consumed by fire.

The typical liberal, attuned to the MSM, generally regards Iran with cautious skepticism. That is to say, if the wingnut warmongers and the pro-business New Democrats (a Congressional Majority, BTW) endeavor to attack Iran, these liberals are on board with it in order to “protect America” (or to protect “American Interests” or insert other boilerplate [...]

Will be surely become a best-seller and a goldmine for his widow. She found it, they say, on his computer in completion. (Astonishing that it was completed. Unedited, probably. Editing is everything here.) It is a roman a clef (literally – novel with a key). This means that the characters are thinly disguised real people [...]

McCain’s use of the pronoun “we” means him and his friends among the Congressional Military Industrial Complex. They did win in Iraq and they are still winning. Breaking the country into warring factions – civil war, looting the oil and other booty, engorging the MIC and its contractors with billions of dollars, where’s the losing [...]

‘Government is not a solution to our problem government is
    the problem.’

    - Saint Ronnie, a Monkey’s Sidekick.

    Big Gubmint, etc. -

When uneducated people are brainwashed by the TV, they’ll believe whatever they’re told. (Paraphrasing Joe Goebbels)

They do believe in voting for government candidates who promise to tear down the government.

OTOH, While it is not a campaign platform, The Democrats are also tearing down the government.

    * Neither Party is tearing down Giant Agribusiness, PHARMA, Big Insurance, Big Banks, Wall Street, Megacorps, Big Oil, The Military Industrial Complex, The Security Surveillance State, The CIA, The NSA, Private Prisons, Privatization, Charter Schools, Militarization of Police. In fact, each endeavors to increase all of these.

The real question is how many other Snowden’s are out there, and how can we aid them in exposing govt. lies, surveillance and stopping their war on humanity? That’s the real conspiracy. Time Quake – one of Vonnegut’s more recent works – made in into the discount bins early, but it is quite good and a worthwhile read.

Vonnegut was a great and thoughtful writer, a personal inspiration and unfortunately, a very heavy smoker.
