hate2haggle commented on the blog post Michigan Republicans Kill Petition Over “Font Size.” What’s Next, Whining about Kerning?
Last week while reporting on this story Rachel commented on how she gets pushback from Michigan news outlets for reporting this story. I found that almost as startling as the story itself and I do agree that what has been done by the Michigan legislatue is by far the most far-reaching of all the Republican antics since the 2010 elections.

hate2haggle commented on the diary post Pull Up a Chair: Let’s Talk About Cars by demi.
Mine was a white 1965 Ford Custom. It had 35,000 miles and I paid $500 for it from money I saved delivering newspapers for 4 years. That was in 1970 the year I graduated from high school. My first try at disobeying the speed limit was successful as I “put her in neutral” on the [...]

hate2haggle commented on the diary post Why Are You Here? by Peterr.
I cannot remember my first trip here, but I do know I’ve never left. Not for a day. The writing of TRex made me laugh ’til I almost wet myself while Emptywheel would leave me aghast at the number of posts she’d put out in an afternoon. Once I needed a great question to ask [...]

Love the fire with the dog by the lake picture. After seeing that I knew I was in for someting good. Great diary and it leads me to try and remember just how I came upon this blog, but alas I cannot. It’s been a very enjoyable place for me to be these past six [...]

A Republican huh. Well that changes everything and please take your shoes off outside. Just playin’ with ja, but thanks for the diary. Someday, when I sense my sentence structure getting firmer, I’ll do the same. My little heart is just full of FDL love that needs to come out.

hate2haggle commented on the blog post FDL Book Salon Welcomes John Nichols, UPRISING: How Wisconsin Renewed the Politics of Protest, from Madison to Wall Street
yeah, that sounds about right. What would be disaster for a progressive is dessert for conservatives.

hate2haggle commented on the blog post FDL Book Salon Welcomes John Nichols, UPRISING: How Wisconsin Renewed the Politics of Protest, from Madison to Wall Street
John Nichols your reporting on the labor battle in Wisconsin has captivated me and I’ve not missed a minute of it. A week or two ago, while listening to an interview with Mike Daisey speak about the perils of the Chinese worker he made a statement that would fit well into the dialogue of words written about the strife in Wisconsin. Mr. Daisey explained how union activists are harshly treated and jailed by the government when convicted for trying to unionize workers. In true Frank Luntz fashion, why shouldn’t the meme be used to compare Conservative Republicans to Communist Chinese?

hate2haggle commented on the blog post Come Saturday Morning: Evil Ralph Reed Projects Like a Multiplex
I once sent the prick a tweet and honestly he replied. So with as much hate as I could compile into 140 characters I blasted him again. I find him to be as repulsive a human as there is on the planet and when good ol’ Alan Simpson challenged the establishment to look into the weeds and discover what makes Grover Norquist tick, I really hoped they would and at the same time bury Ralph Reed with him. But just like Democrats, they didn’t do anything.

hate2haggle commented on the diary post Hey, Did You Happen to See the Most Beautiful Girl in the World? by Jane Hamsher.
My greatest fear as a dog owner was death. Not mine of course, but for the friend that followed me everywhere for the 15 years we shared. Would I be able to call a Vet and make an appointment to have her put to sleep or would I ask someone to do it for me? [...]

hate2haggle commented on the diary post One Windy Night by Bella.
This diary displays the determination and commitment necessary to capture the respect of those who do not see the need for an Occupy movement. All of us who understand that need give what we can and you’ve shown us here what it’s like to give everything. Thank you, Bela, for following your heart and believing [...]

hate2haggle commented on the blog post “We Will Put People In Jail” – The Measuring Stick for Foreclosure Fraud
How disappointing this whole escapade has been. Was it Frank Luntz who coined the term “under water.” The correct messaging should be “buried.” That’s what car salesmen call it when the customer wants to trade in their $4000 car and find they owe $10,000.

That idea has great potential. Wonder what POTUS would say to his two little girls when asked, “daddy, why do they yell scum?”

hate2haggle commented on the blog post Don’t Worry Your Pretty Little Talking Head About It
I laughed out loud when Lewis referred to Douthat’s column as the pinacle of journalistic objectivity and it forced me to investigate further. Not being one to read RD, I do relish in the joy of the comment section whereupon I found 1 in 10 in agreement with the author and 90 per cent very sympathetic to Planned Parenthood, which I also pointed out to Lewis via Twitter.
