If you want to grow hemp then write all your representatives and tell them to support Ron Paul’s H.R. 1831 “Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2011″. It currently has only 22 cosponsors.

hawaiisb commented on the diary post Why Unemployment Makes the Tea Party Happy by Gerald McEntee.
This won’t be the first time that we have defaulted on our obligations. The most recent time was the collapse of Bretton Woods. Just like then, the government hides it’s default through more printing press money, while causing inflation, and blaming rising prices on private sector “greed”.

hawaiisb commented on the blog post Selective Law & Order
This is a perfect example of common ideas running straight through the false left/right paradigm.
The lady arrested for slow-dancing is Medina Benjamin, founder of Code Pink.
The man that is bodyslammed and choked is Adam Kokesh. Adam Kokesh is a libertarian Republican that is an outspoken marine member of Iraq Veterans Against War, staunch supporter of Ron Paul and thus, was a Republican NM candidate for the House in 2010.
I commend all involved for a true show of supporting eachother in congruent activism. -
hawaiisb commented on the blog post Paul, Leahy Team Up on Amendments to Patriot Act Extension
Best speech I’ve heard coming out of the Senate hall so far this year.

hawaiisb commented on the blog post Congress as Much to Blame for Lack of War Powers Resolution on Libya
Obama will once again go one up on Bush if he continues any military action in Libya past today.

hawaiisb commented on the blog post Huntsman: Afghanistan “Not Consistent With How We Ought to Be Responding”
Currency devaluation disproportionally hurts the poor and people living on fixed incomes (think retiree, injured worker, ect..).
You must have blinders on as well if you think Huntsman is the only person to take that position on Afghanistan. -
hawaiisb commented on the blog post Does New Polling on Afghanistan Reveal Opportunities for Anti-War Republicans?
Ron Paul will be the biggest voice for peace this election cycle from both sides of the false left/right paradigm.

hawaiisb commented on the blog post 150 Years later, the Republicans surrender to the Confederacy
Following the Constitution and then ammending it when needed is superior to ignoring the Constitution and having an imperial executive and unaccountable legislature.

hawaiisb commented on the blog post Rand Paul: Newt Gingrich has More Positions on Libya Than Wives
You’re correct. Rand Paul has questioned the war and the manner in which we went to war in Libya in every speech he has given on the topic, starting with his reaction to Obama’s speech on the topic.

hawaiisb commented on the blog post Obama Asserts Authority for Libya Mission Without Congressional Action
Once again Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul have hit the issue correctly. I dream of the day when they will be the “centrists” and neocons and neoliberals will be the extremists.

hawaiisb commented on the blog post Mitt Romney: Government Takeovers of Health Care are Constitutional and Effective When I Do It
The powers of the Federal Government are few and limited as expressed in the Constitution. The powers of the states are much more broad and are defined in their individual state constitutions.
We have so much more power when we quit watering down our votes by fighting against 320million+ other people for changes that we want to see locally. Instead we need to focus on state and county governments. Maybe being from and in Hawaii has skewed this perception to me because each island is it’s own county. We push for local control and we build our local resident island to reflect our values. Local government is much more responsive and efficient than a federal beaurocracy with a one size fits all approach. -
hawaiisb commented on the diary post CPAC Chaos as Ron Paul Wins Straw Poll by Teddy Partridge.
As Commander in Chief, troop deployments will be directly under his control. He has already stated that he is in favor of closing down overseas military bases around the world (Germany, Japan, Italy, Middle East, ect..). He has already stated that he is in favor of bringing all the troops home. He has already stated [...]

hawaiisb commented on the blog post In Israel, Mike Huckabee Criticizes Egyptian Uprising, US Government
I can just imagine the huge clashes that will occur when the Huckabee crowd becomes vocal about Rand Paul’s calls to end all aid to Israel.

hawaiisb commented on the blog post Coburn, DeMint Turn to Killing Corn Ethanol Subsidies
Good. We should stop corn subsidies for ethanol and legalize hemp. A double boost for the economy and even more farming jobs.
