I believe this ordinance was passed when it was b/c last year on Good Friday, we had a large march and rally {with a permit} at the base. 38 were arrested then and it received much press.

Campers at the Occupy site have already complied with the requests of the city and fire department.The fire department has already confiscated several tanks, and there are currently no active propane tanks at the site; their use was brought to an immediate hault upon the warning.

One camper has also reported that Miner cited safety concerns regarding the inclement weather characteristic of a Syracuse winter.

Both of the reasons that the Mayor’s office has cited are laughable. The Mayor does not care for the safety or well-being of struggling people in Syracuse. If she did, she would not have unilaterally closed the Ida B. Benderson Senior Center; she would not have bailed out the Chamber of Commerce to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars while education and other vital social services suffer from devastating budget cuts.

The Mayor’s actions make it crystal clear that she works for the 1%. It was only a matter of time until she attacked the peaceful encampment. Call her office now at (315) 448-8005 to demand that the Mayor end her attack on Occupy Syracuse.

I spoke with Lindsey S., and she told me that the occupiers were caught 5 times breaking the agreement regarding no propane heaters. I asked her to remind her boss about the sub zero weather, and to please give the occupiers a pass. I also called Syracuse Peace Council, the oldest peace group in the US, and asked them to please call the mayor. The mayor’s hubby has donated to the Peace Council in the past. Hi Alison We have been lucky to be able to rescue 12 ferrets over the last 10 We have 4 boys at the moment and as our children are grown and gone, Woody, Buddy, Mason and Huckleberry are our kids!. They are curious, into everything ALL the time, and yep avoid their litter boxes more than they use them. We adore them. I wish the stores would stop selling them because most buyers end up leaving them in cages and then get rid of them because they bite { from being caged}.
