However, if things were as they should be the occupation would not be needed. The establishment, Wall Street, its courts, its political parties, its police and armies fear the very word PEACEFUL.

In essence a democratic society should be all about the community living together in harmony with one another with respect for the habitat and natural law. Democracy cannot be about the leaders who live in gated communities of ivory towers believing wealth in and of itself denote moral superiority. They’ve yet to touch ground with reality thinking the universe revolves around themselves, D.C. and Wall Street. Tunnel vision to the max, uh–no, tunnel vision to their small world view. None but a few willing to admit or even see how their futile efforts to ward off chaos have brought it on.

yes, i know what you’re saying. i, too, come from a retail background. walmart bought factories in places like thailand and claimed “made in america.” i’ve seen pbs exposés revealing the sad working conditions of women group-living in tiny shacks to share child care responsibilities. they work long, hard hours without a break so walmart and other monopolies can “save us money.” the top echelon experiences great bonuses and salaries as the workers are replace by automated checkers and full-timers reduced to part-time help.

reread my remark. i said that once “once people here become hungry enough to grab for those low pay jobs” they’ll trickle back to our shores.

While the 535 Neros in Congress fiddle, the labor market is burning. We have needed a second stimulus since last year. We got ineffective tax cuts that mostly just extended current law. And a series of headwinds for the economy, especially rising gas prices, made quick work of whatever stimulus could be squeezed out of those tax benefits, not to mention the $39 billion in spending cuts agreed to by the two parties to close the 2011 budget

yes, does appear that the american psyche fiddles up a storm while the empire burns. the political public relations industry in conjunction with the monopolized media frames a narrow two-sided debate, promoting those candidates who believe democracy can be defined in monetary terms. a quick scan through the annals of history indicate that-at least to date-all empires collapse. not one exception can be found.

federal and state governments could introduce infrastructure spending, home improvements so to speak which would encourage the growth of local businesses to feed and supply these road, bridge, solar panel and similar reconstruction projects. as i listen to the new surge of patriotic spirit, “U.S.A! U.S.A.!” i fear that the war biz gets a booster shot in the arm along with torture, the patriot act and the clamp down on freedom of the press.

those of us who wish to promote peace and sanity in this crazy world must redouble our efforts. funny, the good ole party bots want government “out of private business” yet blame obama because exxon, chevron, royal dutch et al raise prices in order to continuously maximise profits for the elite investor types. we the consumers have max’d those credit cards, many have lost homes and many more in danger of default. technology means less dependence on human labor and if it must be done by men and women monopolies advantage those $6.00 a day manufacturing jobs in hungry nations.

never fear! once people here become hungry enough to grab for those low pay jobs, walmart and friends will trickle down jobs like pennies from heaven.

the s.e.a.l teams perform many covert operations. often wearing tourist garb, acting as body guards for political allies. also, the assignment may be to kidnap a particular foreign official for questioning. of course, teams also may be asked to enter a “suspected” safe house of the insurgency. part of the preparation warns that the s.e.a.l’s family could be in danger if your name or picture is made public. i can’t remember which African raid, but a journalist caught the action on camera. seal command was not amused.

that’s a great proactive suggestion. however, i suspect my demo-rep, Cuellar, may be illiterate in two languagues. i picked up a quote from a Noam Chomsky article which simply explains U.S. in a nutshell.

Elections have become a charade, run by the public relations industry.
