If you actually read carefully it says the union workers with a particular type of contract may pay more, not that they necessarily will. And if they do pay more it will be because of how the state they live in sets up its exchange, not because Obama deliberately set out to screw those union workers.
If your goal was to read carefully and become better informed, you would have been able to work that out for yourself.

Tbogg checked you on the Old and Retirees, so of course you switch topics to labor unions.
You do understand that the problem of paying for healthcare in a nation of 300 Million people is complex? Especial when you consider that there has never been a coherent policy, at any level, to deal with that issue until recently.
Can say that there was a net loss in the number of people covered?

If you really wanted to immortalize Tebow’s professional career shouldn’t he be depicted:
In a Broncos uniform
Kneeling on the sideline
Praying that the Kicker nail another long kick to win the game
After failing to move the team into decent Field Goal range, again

Another couragious drive-by Purity Troll.
At least Teddy stuck around for a little while and tried to make his case before running away.

I’ll go out on a limb here and channel the thought processes of the Parade Committee when they repudiated the vote that picked Manning as Grand Marshal.
“Gee, … given the backlash resulting from Electoral College’s choice of Manning as the Grand Marshal. Don’t we run the risk of making the Parade all about Manning and not about gay pride, our diversity or celebrating the great progress our cause has enjoyed this past year if we go ahead and support that selection. … Do we really want to do that?”
Don’t play dumb, making the Parade all about Manning is the sub-text of this entire blog thread.

huntlabron commented on the blog post Accidentally Like A Martyr
Sorry, you are right I totally missed your point.
I hadn’t realized that your were trying to inject race into a discussion that was primarily about the Gay Pride Parade (further proof that Tbogg’s original point is valid).
Your original comment was in response to the attempt to justify honoring Manning just because he is Gay, ignoring the fact that what he did and what happened to him subsequently, had nothing to do with the fact that he is gay.
That was the context for my comment, I’ll try to be quicker on the uptake next time.
-
huntlabron commented on the blog post Accidentally Like A Martyr
Furthermore, how does making the Parade all about Manning celebrate the diversity of the Gay community?
-
huntlabron commented on the blog post Accidentally Like A Martyr
You have finally delivered the death blow!
Yes, you are absolutly correct, I am guilty as charged … I am “White”!
And as was implied further up in the thread I am also not “Gay”. Shit, I guess I’m doubly damned then.
Now that I think upon it further, I am also “Male”. Three strikes and I’m out!
I applaude the brilliant way in which you just supported your point!

You really should respond to what I actually wrote, all of it.
Not the overly simplistic, hyper-selective version that you built-up in your mind of what I wrote.
I know your interpretation of that version in your mind fits your position better …
But, com’ on! You only make yourself look pathic when you start arguing with yourself.

Really?
You have never pondered the contradictions surrounding Jefferson’s contributions to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution?
Or his relationship with his slave mistress?
Being “White” applies to just about everything Jefferson did.

huntlabron commented on the blog post Accidentally Like A Martyr
Obviously, not all “Gay” people want to honor Manning as a hero. In fact apparently enough of them feel just as strongly as you do about their position regarding Manning that it threatened to fracture the collition built up to support the Parade’s “Raison d’etre”.
I always thought that “Gay Pride” was always about showing pride in being Gay and showing the diversity of the Gay community. Not about imperialism or the insidious expansion of the “Security State.”
Which again, is restating Tbogg’s original point.

After reading and absorbing that, you may want to take a look at comment #149.
Yes we all have to start somewhere, in a venue like this my practice is to start at the beginning. If I can’t be bothered to start at the beginning I stay out of the discussion.
I feel that is the only way to show respect for the thoughts and opinions of the other participants.

So at comment #318, you just assumed that because you were so much smarter than all the rest of us, that there was a high probability you would be bringing something new to the discussion?

It wasn’t the evidence of war crimes that was the problem. It was the other 499,999 other documents that bother most of the people here.
Do he know for a fact, hell, did even have an inkling that all the rest of them documented war crimes? No he didn’t have a clue what was on them.
And by the way, back in the 1980′s most the B-2 Bomber was Built using documents that were only Classified as “Secret” or lower.

If you had bothered to catch up, you would have already known that information was already put out there twice and that it wasn’t a sacred democratic election that all of tried claim that it was.
In other words you were blowing smoke and got caught doing it.

Do you know how the Internet works?
You can’t direct dial Wikileaks and send them their very own confidential copy of the documents. First, you have to go through your internet provider’s servers, then there is the hand-off between The American Telecom company and the UK Telecom Company, then it goes through Wikileak’s internet provider’s servers.
That’s a lot of potential copies before Wikileaks ever sees the first page.
And I have even started talking about all the Hacker’s and Government Agencies (Foreign & Domestic) who are constantly filtering the data stream.

Finally, somebody who knows what he/she is talking about! I’ve been trying to get somebody to answer these questions for the last 20 hr’s.
When was the election held?
Who voted in the election? Were they representative of the at large SF LGBT community?
How many votes were cast?
I can hardly wait to finally read the truth!
-
huntlabron commented on the blog post Accidentally Like A Martyr
And now we have finally come full circle and are back to the Red Herring that the parade’s Electoral College was democratically empowered to speak for the SF LGBT Community.
If you go back and read the comments posted last night you will find that the only facts used to support this thesis is that some Gay People and Gayer than other Gay people, and oh by the way if you are not Gay then STFU.
-
huntlabron commented on the blog post Accidentally Like A Martyr
I am pretty sure that nobody on either side of this comment thread thinks that Manning isn’t one of the good guys.
But even the Good Guys fuck things up sometimes. And Manning’s fuck-up was Epic. I not going to repeat why many here think what he did was wrong, it has been stated several times already.
The fact that Manning’s treatment by the Government has been deplorable doesn’t change the fact that he made a big mistake.
The fact that Manning is Gay doesn’t change the fact that he made a big mistake.
And making him the Grand Marshal of the Parade isn’t going to change the fact that he made a big mistake.
-
huntlabron commented on the blog post Accidentally Like A Martyr
Those people don’t know who Manning is or what he did.
And they certainlly won’t become educated about who he is and about the whys and what fors behind what he did if he were the Grand Marshal of the SF Gay-Pride Parade.
Nor, will they care what happens to him.
