iamdave wrote a new diary post: Ils Sont Changest Ma Game, Ma!
Long ago and far away,Baseball was Our game. Everybody played it. Kids just naturally picked up a ball and dared someone to hit it. And You did. You tried to hit it. So did I. Who did You imagine You would be pitching or being the one hitting? I know you did. So did I. [...]

But what was worse for me was being forced to see W’s mug every time a Texas player was in the on-deck circle during last night’s World Serious. My eyes! Ahhhh!

I don’t know enough about Bloomberg to comment, other than he seems to be an establishment pol.Better to have someone in the Fiengold mold who isn’t afraid to stand up in the boat.

Hillary would be just as bad a Obama and worse in her saber rattling. We need a brand new team, not more of the same crap.

Stewart’s interview of Obama brought into sharp focus my frustration with the president. In person,he appears confident with a sharp sense of purpose. In actual governing,he appears weak and unsure. His ‘trying to please everyone’ is bad leadership and that filtered down to congress. As someone said,’he is the system’ and that’s his true failure.

iamdave wrote a new diary post: I Don’t Hold My Nose and Vote
The Big Talk of this election cycle has been ‘DFH’s and Librul weenies act like spoiled children and threaten to hold their breath until Obama turns blue.’ Well. I am guilty as charged. Better and more eloquent writers have surely stated my case ,so I won’t bore you with particulars. However. having voted in every [...]

And more to the point,if I seem ‘unserious’, we have to remember Obama still has veto power. Even IF a huge Repug win is coming-I don’t believe it for a second- he still is the president and will be til 2012. So cool your jets and dig in. Get involved locally. Work for better Dems [...]

The MSM does one thing and one thing only-sell products. It’s fill in between ads. If the Dems loose they’ll sell it that way in an ‘I told you so’ celebration. If the Dems win,it’ll be ‘upset2010!’ with furrowed brows. A big sell.

Having voted in every election since 1972,I’ve seen ‘the end of the world’ avoided a number of times. If your candidate doesn’t get elected, start right NOW to get them elected. It’s two years.

Living in a ‘Red’ district in Floriduh,my vote may be worthless. But vote I will, and buy two years supply of popcorn and beer.

For a person who uses terms like ‘conned’ ‘swooned’ and then professes ‘unity’ you have a ‘narrative’ to sell, it seems.

‘Credible terrorist threat.’ Right. Here’s terrorist threat- the sound of a drone one hears in Pakistan just before your family vaporizes.

The problem is two-fold…. Those who are ignorant, proud of it,and believe the propaganda. And those who are smart enough to know better, can easily research the issues/candidates/reality and still believe the propaganda.

I *never* believe any poll where the methodology is not stated. Most poll questions are asked on landline phones,so most polls are worth a damn. That said,I like it! Heehee!

iamdave commented on the diary post Obama May Want to Re-Read King’s ‘Letter from Birmingham Jail’ by Peterr.
I have to say that Obama is the most perplexing president in my lifetime.(58)In person,he exudes confidence and strength of purpose. But,in governing he appears weak and wishy washy. Very frustrating.
