JCfromNC, once you’re familiar enough with Gaiman and Pratchett, the contributions are pretty clear, although who wrote what passage isn’t. E.g. the descriptions of the Four Horsemen are real Gaiman, while the four other riders are pretty typical Pratchett brief appearance characters.
Tbogg, just because an inordinate number of us blog followers and commenters are fans of SF and comics and similar nerdery does not oblige you in any way. Speaking for myself, anyway.
I got to see Matthew Sweet back in the early 1990s with Quine on guitar. Damn. Just damn. Look at him, though. Quine:guitar::Maddux:pitching.

Good lord, it looks like she’s about to unhinge that jaw and eat a guinea pig whole.

Followed the link. Oooh, that is some prime whining there.
So you don’t need to read that crap: One of the “Bluff the Listener” fake stories on Wait, Wait was that La Malkin, known to insinuate that the President is a secret Muslim, discovered that her grandfather was Muslim. This offends the delicate sensibilities of Malkin fans because a cousin of hers (Marizela Perez,a young woman at U.Washington) has been missing since March 5. Of course, it’s entirely insufficient to blame the comedian who made the joke – this is proof of the perfidious hatred that NPR bears everyone and everything on the Right.

More late* birthday wishes for Mrs. TBogg! Hope you received your due pampering and all the boys behaved themselves.

Translated Abe Greenwald, “The only reason people are freaking out over bagels is because we don’t profile all those suspiciously brown people. And maybe ban Muslims from planes altogether.”

There is no limit to the depths to which “smooth jazz” will sink (the genre, I mean, not the commenter. He’s just a garden-variety conservative). You doubt this? I was once trapped in a vehicle whose driver had selected the local smoove station and experienced the dawning horror of realizing that the familiar tune drifting out of the speakers was “Take Five” – in 4/4 time.
