JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Dems Start Negotiating Against Themselves on Bush Tax Cuts
As Janeane pointed out @ 20, she’s probably not running in 2016 and we’ll never know.
Yeah. Hillary will be 69 in 2016, not an “over the hill” age by any means, but the wear and tear of DC really beats you down. I doubt she’s running.

Still must disagree respectfully. Her Senate voting record (what little there is of it) was pretty conservative. She co-sponsored a bill to ban flag burning (with Robert Bennett from Utah), voted for the Iraq war, voted for the bankruptcy bill, etc., etc..
The thing is we’ll probably never know what kind of president Hillary will be. I don’t think she’s running in 2016.

Do the Democrats – does Pelosi – think the D base is stupid?
Yes.
I wish he had Hillary’s backbone.
I disagree. I think Hillary would rule just like Obama, DLC, “centrist”, attacking the left while pandering to the right and wondering why the GOP isn’t returning the kindness.

Simpson is one of Obama’s best friends. Alan is the type of person Obama likes to hang around with. Says a lot about Obama.

JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Facebook IPO Difficulties Reminder of the Insanity of the JOBS Act
And the “Jobs” act was passed with bipartisan support, and Obama signed it gladly. I even think he was the one who proposed it.

JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Booker’s Wall Street Fundraising Past – and Obama’s
In short, Teddy Roosevelt had some integrity. Obama has none.
No disagreement there.

JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Wisconsin Recall: More Resources, but No Change in Strategy to Defeat Walker
As we all know, when the union busting Walker was pushing his anti-union bill, Obama was nowhere to be found. Obama was too busy hanging with his buddy John Boehner trying to get a grand bargain debt deal, and Obama was willing to toss Social Security and Medicare on the pile.
Now, with this recall, Obama again is nowhere to be found. Shitty leadership. And maybe Obama secretly agrees with Walker and what he did to working class people. They both shill for the 1 percent anyway.

Yeah, you’re probably right about the prison-pharma complex.
I’m just so used to Dems trying to outdo Republicans on everything.
-
JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post DNC Shamed Into Helping Wisconsin Recall, Still Not Committing Funds
Maybe Obama secretly likes Walker.
Remember, when Walker and his GOP buddies rammed through the anti-union legislation, Obama was nowhere to be found. He was too busy chasing Boehner around DC trying to get a grand bargain and Obama put Social Security and Medicare on the table.
Wasserman-Schultz is just as incompetent as her predecessor, Kaine.

JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Americans Overwhelming Want Obama To End Crackdown on Medical Marijuana
Yup. Federal agencies can still fire a lesbian or gay man for just being lesbian or gay. Obama could put a stop to it, but won’t use that power. That would be too “liberal”.

JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Americans Overwhelming Want Obama To End Crackdown on Medical Marijuana
I think this is another futile, bizarre, stupid attempt by Obama to show Republicans that he’s “tougher” than they are, or some lame shit like that.
Obama’s reasoning/excuse for his war on medicinal pot is insulting to anyone who took civics in high school.
Worst political instincts, ever.

Maybe Obama likes Scott Walker.

JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Why You Don’t Negotiate for Hostages
I would agree. Clooney’s a great actor, and I think in George’s mind, he is doing the right thing, but Obama is just using Clooney’s starpower and his money.
Hollywood libs need to realise Obama is not FDR 2.0, more like Clinton 2.0, but without Clinton’s charisma and the sense of humor.
-
JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Why You Don’t Negotiate for Hostages
While that is where much of the blame lies, if Democrats hadn’t repeatedly enabled, empowered and rewarded this approach, maybe the Republicans wouldn’t have so much incentive to adopt it.
Bingo.

JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Polling Shows Danger of Being on Wrong Side of Housing and Bank Accountability
Obama’s a little slow in comprehending the bleedin’ obvious.

JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Polling Shows Danger of Being on Wrong Side of Housing and Bank Accountability
I would guess that Obama has been on the phone with Jaime Dimon every day saying “don’t worry about this, Jaime. I got your back. It will blow over. Ignore everything I say publicly. I have to say it. It’s an election year, otherwise I’d give you a cabinet position.”.

JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Romney Holds Small National Lead in NYT/CBS Poll
It’s a deep irony that Obama is essentially running on a Republican record. Obamacare is Republican, and a watered down financial “reform” bill is what a moderate Republican would have passed.
-
JaneaneTheAcerbicGoblin commented on the blog post Romney Holds Small National Lead in NYT/CBS Poll
The fact that Romney has a slight lead in the national polls doesn’t scare me like it used to. Obama and Romney are pretty much the same, in fact, Obama is so determined to be like Mitt that he ripped off Mitt’s health care plan. Obama has proven beyond any doubt there is no real, discernible difference between the 2 parties. And Obama’s been such a major disappointment (his recent, extremely belated “evolution” on gay marriage nothwithstanding) it’s impossible to get any enthusiasm to vote for him, and the fear tactics of the Dems aren’t working this time around.
