Working to defeat the austerity plan I’m sure, and propose progressive alternatives.

We have an interest in holding politicians accountable. The PCCC helped lead the Halter challenge to Blanche Lincoln for example.

Jason Rosenbaum wrote a new diary post: BREAKING: FCC breaks Obama’s promise, allows corporate censorship online with fake Net Neutrality

    2010-12-21 13:07:51View | Delete

Minutes ago, the FCC passed new rules — written by corporations — that will end Net Neutrality. For the first time in history, the U.S. government approved corporate censorship of the Internet, putting the future of online free speech at risk. Unbelievably, the person leading the charge was Obama appointee Julius Genachowski (known in some circles [...]

yummmmmmm! Gonna have to try these.

Oh, and when are we getting more Dark Soul? Or did I miss the end somehow?

Jason Rosenbaum commented on the blog post Is the Tax Cut Cave a Stimulus Gambit?

    2010-12-06 12:41:28View | Delete

What torridjoe said. The status quo can’t be stimulus, at least not by any real definition of the word.

Jason Rosenbaum commented on the diary post Your Choice: Extend Unemployment And Tax Breaks Or Neither by Bill Egnor.

If that’s not going to happen, then we’re not going to get to make the choice you lay out above, either.

No reason to compromise when we win with the public on all the issues on the table and control both Houses of Congress. Force the vote, have the President actually fight to stop the rich from getting tax cuts and we win.

Thumbnail When President Obama was campaigning for his job, he didn’t mince words on the importance of the free and open Internet. Here’s a video of him saying, “I am a strong supporter of Net Neutrality,” and, “As President I’m going to make sure that is the principle that my FCC Commissioner is applying as we move [...]

Jason Rosenbaum commented on the diary post Obama and Boehner ≠ Clinton and Gingrich by Chuckie Corra.

    2010-11-05 06:17:45View | Delete

I’m not sure we want bipartisan effort, and I think it would be a misreading of the country to say progressivism lost, according to just about every poll I’ve read. Not that I’m confident Obama will have the strength and fortitude to use his executive power and control of the Senate to get something good [...]
