    Benghazi… I know where it is

    British Embassy flew me to Benghazi to play “Last Post and Revelry” at the immaculate cemetery where the British soldiers are buried. (They held out against Rommel.) It was an honor to do so.

    Mom’s permanent pacemaker safely installed yesterday and may come home today, son graduating on Sunday, weather is great, FDL back up.

    Good morning all my fellow Over Easy firepup friends.

    93 degrees here yesterday, frost on Sunday. We went straight from winter to summer without bothering to have a spring. (Farmer friends are planting like mad.) :)

    Thanks for asking. They will install a permanent pacemaker/defibrillator tomorrow.

    So I’ll be taking 200 mile round trips in addition to getting ready for graduation next week. It’s a good thing I ‘m in decent shape. /s

    I am headed out for the 90 mile journey to LaCrosse.(I will be driving 45 miles of it along the mighty Mississippi where the water is full of waterfowl)

    You are indeed my other “sister”.(I always wanted another one)

    I’ll explain. My 85 year old mother was evacced to LaCrosse, WI yesterday,had a temporary pacemaker installed, and will spend Mother’s Day in the hospital.

    Weve got all the moisture here as well. Nobody has corn or beans in the ground yet so we need a good two weeks of good weather or crops will suffer.

    Nice to hear about the economic news oldgold. I too am more optimistic about the economic picture.

    It will be held in our beautiful Performing Arts Center.(Most schools use the gymnasium.) Small town graduations are a big social event.

    We are consolidating with a district next door so this years class will be the last under the old name.

    My son has been a challenge since he’s smart as a whip but hates school work.(We’ll see how well he does when he’s paying $200 a credit in community college.)
