So you have had 3 new stadia and never won a World’s series?

That makes you even with the Cubs. They haven’t won a World Series in their new stadium either.

Limbaugh looks like he never missed a meal in his life. And as for his claim that he always ate (3 or 4) breakfast(s) at home, well D’UH! His father had a cushy government job with a pension. He was the local county judge in Backwater Flats MO.

President Obama NEVER wanted the 1967 borders; he was just reiterating THE UNITED STATES POSITION since 1967. Which is “The ’67 map WITH LAND SWAPS”. The same thing that has ALWAYS been our policy.

It happened before. Remember Korean Airlines flight #007? Reagan spent months bragging that the first shuttle flight was going to be carrying a “secret military payload” (and if it was so Goddamned secret why was he always talking about it?)

KAL 007 was diverted off course over Soviet airspace at Sakelin Island, in a lame attempt to steal their radar frequency signals. The only problem with that plan was that the radar base was inoperative for several months, and the replacement parts from Russia weren’t going to be getting there any time soon. They were relying on what we call AWAC airborne radar platforms.

When KAL 007 refused to alter its course on the USSR’s demand (because it was being directed by NORAD) it was blown out of the air by a couple of MIGs.

It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt.

Yup. Every piece of that thing probably has a tracking ping, so even if it is disassembled, all the parts will be “calling home”. So now we know the location of Iran’s secret facilities; and if pieces go to either China or Russia, we will know that, too.

But it may not be an “assassin drone” it could be just a “peek-a-boo” camera carrier. Remember, we are now in the process of exiting Iraq. If this wasn’t planned, they would say “It was just a weather balloon”.

I want to know what we are hauling out of Iraq while everybody is diverted with this obvious “new shiny object”.

Maybe President Obama found W’s missing $18 Billion?

Just got back. It DOES seem “odd” that the Pentagon is blabbing a lot about this; and for the poster above (saying that Americans aren’t smart enough to do this) and the other one claiming that President Obama is doing a “false flag operation”., I call BS.

Obama doesn’t play Bush-league games like that. For all you Obama haters, just Google what happened to Hitachi and (to a smaller part, Toshiba).

Weirdness (i the form of useless loops) was purposely implanted into computer chips so the US could track intellectual property theft by Japanese companies. (A law that was written by Al Gore, BTW. Good thing HE invented the innertubes).

I think this is the same thing. If not, the suddenly open mouthed Pentagon is trying to fool the Irani military into “thinking” it is.

It is also possible that it was purposely allowed to be downed and contains a bunch of garbage technology embedded in the chips. Remember how we got Hitachi for reverse engineering our proprietary technology? The Pentagon seems awfully loose lipped about this incident.

Also, who knows what’s up with OD.

Someone donated a building for Occupy Detroit. They will be moving in today or tomorrow. The space will be used for warehouses and housing, and Occupy Detroit says they have an excellent working arrangement with the Detroit police.

A few years ago Bank Of America decided to off-shore their Chicago operations (after getting a tax break from the State). The sTATE Treasurer (Alexi Giannoulias) said “Hey, that’s quite a large pile of Illinois money you have in your vault. It would be a shame if it went to some other bank, wouldn’t it?”

    Presto! BofA changed their mind.

    (and CTuttle)

The quote was (post 7) …”Actually her choice of attire, as always, screams attention whore.”

How is that not the same thing as Choi dressing IN UNIFORM and then chaining himself to the White House fence for a POLITICAL PROTEST, and the people on here are all whining about how he is being held to a different legal standard (like he wasn’t allowed to bond out in misdemeanor court like the others who were arrested.)?

They are BOTH attention seekers. The only difference is that Lady Gaga is SUPPOSED to dress in costume in order to attract attention.

Choi, OTOH, used the US Military uniform to make a PERSONAL statement.

He dishonored the uniform. She didn’t dishonor her costume, and if Choi doesn’t know the difference between a costume and a uniform he deserves whatever happens to him.

Hero or not. He’s using his name to generate fame and trashing the uniform for publicity and politics.

As did Lt. Choi’s choice to wear his military uniform for a political publicity stunt. And the weeping about his self made circumstance never ends.

That is what the “And the others” was for. I responded to a string of comments in one post. Look it up. (I’ll save ya the effort, N/Flamethrower was the one, look it up).

As for the generals, Truman fired MacArthur’s ass for politicking on duty.

And all the others. He can exercise his free speech all he wants, but NOT in uniform. The military is supposed to be a-political. HE violated that simple rule, which he learned on his first day at boot camp.

Instead of calling people “fascists” and trolls, why don’t y’all look it up?

He was in uniform when he was arrested. That is the pint. He learned on his first day at boot camp that a soldier is not to disgrace the uniform, or do political work (or even advocate for a position) while wearing it.

Here are some veterans comments from the Advocate calling Choi a disgrace.

I don’t know what that teatard above me is trying to say, but Bughouse Square is the “final resting place” of Studs Terkel, who used to scream to high heaven in the 1920′s.

If you wander into the middle of the park you will see a Red Maple with a short (about a foot high) wrought iron fence surrounding it.

The “Find A Grave” site lists Studs’ burial place as “unknown”.

    Now it’s not.

  • It has been tried before, more than once with the UP of Michigan. They didn’t want “their” money going to all the “blacks” (which starts with the letter “N”) in Detroit.

Every time they try that secession talk they are reminded that there are a lot of roads up there that need plowing, and their schools will get no state subsidies, and their Medicaid will be next to nothing, etc.

Then it all simmers down until the next time someone gets the idea of forming “The Sovereign State of Superior”.

Since it first started in the Eisenhower era , the “movement” had tried to add the rich resort areas of the northern LP. Still, the UP is part of Michigan.

  • At the coin toss, where they have the respective team captains “call it” the team captains should grab the microphone and demand that the NFL commissioner “come on down” an play a real game of “The Price is Right”.

If the commish won’t play at that time, then NO GAME!

    Players walk off the field.

The entire NFL/MSM/NCAA cripple factory would end right there.

And there would be riots in Dallas and Las Vegas.

It wasn’t “expedited” for any reason other than the election is less than a month away. The IL Supreme Court isn’t even in session now, and there was some question of where (or whether) there would be an actual session (as opposed to doing their arguments on line) and which Chamber it would be held in if there was an actual SC session (Springfield Chambers or Chicago Chambers).

The February election isn’t the end all that you think it is; if no candidate gets more than 50% of the vote there will be a run-off election between the top 2 vote getters in March. Time is of the essence.
