I’m pretty sure “code” requires a building permit. And I’m sure that all those silly “safety codes” are not there just to generate money for the city.
Come on. If you’re going to hang your hat on the “built to code” thing, then at least get it right. If I built a structure “to code” on your front lawn, you’d be fully within your rights to tear it down, wouldn’t you? Does not matter if it can be moved to keep the grass green, is self-sustaining from an energy perspective, or whether or not it was designed by Frank Lloyd F-ing Wright.
