You taught me so much. You opened my eyes wider than I thought possible. I will be eternally grateful and mildly annoyed by that. I hope your future is rosy.

jslo commented on the blog post Florida: man claims it’s his constitutional right to rape a donkey
Possibly the PDs are pursuing a personal agenda to muddy the 14th amendment argument for marriage equality in the public eye.

jslo commented on the blog post Three reasons why Republicans were massacred in last week’s election
I was as disappointed by Bachmann’s win as anyone, but the future of the House is murkier than hers. The redistricting that caused her to almost lose the race is not typical of the GOP’s placement for House victories. The fact that she won speaks volumes about her district, a district consistently willing to sacrifice its gay and lesbian youth. As it stands now, due to redistricting, the GOP is well positioned to maintain control of the House until the next census. But f it, it’s just the House.

Hey Pam. This question is in earnest to anyone here. Can someone please explain to me how the NC campaign spokesperson’s word’s are a direct statement from the President? To me it sounds like the spokesperson said the President would be against the amendment based on his earlier statements regarding equality. I get that the campaign spokesperson’s words were probably green lit by someone up the ladder but still, it seems like a stretch to say the President directly commented.

jslo commented on the blog post BREAKING: Obama campaign releases statement opposing Amendment One (+ a back story)
I’ve read this statement dozens of times trying (desperately) to convince myself there was direct mention of the amendment by the President. All I come away with is some transitive implication that, in light of what he has said previously, and what the amendment says now, he is against said amendment. In principle. Based on his earlier statements. Says his NC campaign spokesman. Oy.
