karnak12 commented on the diary post Why vote for Obama? Let me count the whys – 4 by David Seaton.
Let’s be real here, and all questions of race aside, only one of these 2 men is going to be our next president. I am not a fan of Obama since as far as I can tell he has taken everything GWB ever did and advanced it beyond infamy. I can no longer even listen [...]

karnak12 commented on the diary post To The Stars! Well, Ok, The Asteroids, Maybe? by Larue-Clique Member Since LibbyGate.
“The weapon Shops of Isher”, and “City and the Stars” did it for me. Never looked back – went through a lot of libraries. The best ones I’ve found lately are the Liaden Universe novels by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller.

Good luck with that

karnak12 commented on the blog post Congressional Republicans: All Our Presidential Candidates Suck
That was Nancy, or her astrologer, whatever her (his?) name was. She made every relevant decision that ever came down the pike… except for maybe the Ketchup thingy. Ronnie proly got that one from his mom.

By the way, it’s “you’re” as “you are” not “your” as in possessive. Learn to write.

karnak12 commented on the diary post Oh Brother Where Art Thou? by Daveparts.
Lately it has become more and more obvious how prescient George Orwell was. I stand in awe of his descriptions of the con that is taking place and wonder how he did it. What did he see those oh so many years ago, that he could be so dead on with his predictions about where [...]

I liked your clips. The reality is much worse.

karnak12 commented on the blog post Wingnut Pastors, Hate-Filled Soldiers, and a Scandal Greater than Abu Ghraib
I believe it would put an end to “endless” wars because now “everyman’s” children would be eligible to go and take part.
This would definitely bring it home to the people who need to know what it’s like.
Of course the elite and their offspring would escape this. But what goes around comes around.

karnak12 commented on the blog post Obama Administration Officials Side with Bankers Against the Middle Class
There is a location for much more information on this subject at:
I will admit that I have not read near half of what’s there (<10%). It was a commission headed by Phil Angelides here in CA and I first heard about this in a speech he gave at the Commonwealth Club about 2-3 weeks ago.

karnak12 commented on the diary post Introduction to Economics: Curriculum Ignores Reality by Rayne.
Very astute of you to mention the potato famine. Not many people are aware of the reasons for that little glitch in “pristine” economic theories. Not that it’s hidden, but one must dig a little deeper into it to find the reasons for the economic collapse in that instance. A great lesson in non-diversification. I [...]

karnak12 commented on the diary post Obama Embraces the “Economic Philosophy That Has Completely Failed” by William Black.
Mr. Black has written an excellent, well thought out, and informed diary. But Rudyard Kipling said it best: “Then it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, ‘ow’s yer soul?” But it’s “Thin red line of ‘eroes” when the drums begin to roll,” This is no reflection on Mr black. Being a hero requires being [...]

karnak12 commented on the blog post And Now, a Word from Sarah Palin
Palin deserved to be living in Paris in the Summer of 1940. Up close and personal.

I saw the tag, but it sounded so dead on I had to make sure.

karnak12 commented on the blog post And Now, a Word from Sarah Palin
Ok. I’m sorry and please excuse my ignorance, but I showed up late to the party. I want to humbly ask if this is real? Did Palin actually say this, or was this a parody written by Jane?

When the articles of impeachment from Mr Obama’s partisan buddies land on his desk, will that finally clear his head as to what’s going on here?

karnak12 commented on the diary post Dismantling the Greater Good by Ellinorianne.
It’s too bad that those idiots don’t have a clue how weather works. That upper level high at the North Pole (where it’s balmy and melting the ice cap)pushed all the cooler moist air South. That’s one of the reasons there was such a tremendous snow dump on the East Coast (and elsewhere in the [...]

karnak12 commented on the diary post Saturday Art: Essential Movies by dakine01.
I saw it, and I see a lot of movies (one of my shortcomings) I liked it and I thought it was very well done. A little more gritty than the original one and closer to real. Not for small children.
