“Police are urging Greeks to keep their money in bank accounts rather than putting it at risk of theft, amid further uncertainty about whether the austerity-struck country will remain in the eurozone.”
first good laugh of the day. That’s FUNNY…..sorta

Kassandra commented on the diary post Power Play: Nuclear Regulatory Commission Chairman Jaczko Resigns after Push by Industry by Gregg Levine.
This is really pretty amazing, it doesn’t have much about noocluar, but it sure tells the truth about our political system. The guy got fired for it, so…… The 5-Minute Speech that Got Judge Napolitano Fired from Fox News don’t agree about Ron Paul but he’s got some great points. The emperor has no clothes after [...]

The media sure kept this quiet; amazingly so.
Just like the protests before the Iraq War -
Kassandra commented on the blog post NC: Loyal White Knights of the KKK sends invites to its cross burning at dusk white unity event
The south is a strange place. they try to act like there’s no racial tension, but the blacks sure don’t like the whites down there. And if you’re not a Barbie the men don’t like the women either.
Too much bible thumpin’ going on, ask me

Fluke continues to prove she is a class act in the face of vicious, virulent misogyny.
I wonder if his “lawyer” can defend HIM against a defamation suit -

I didnt’ know it was against the law?
So many seem to be doing it these days, esp in that area -

Maybe so, but in sane societies they generally make use of the experience of their “elders” not that I fit that description quite yet. Although I do think having gone thru the hippie wars gives interesting herstorical perspective.
Heck, if they’re gonna listen to our music…ya know? -

Oddly enough, older men seem to find me attractive. I guess the older women are all fixed up by now

It’s a “youth culture” obviously older people have absolutely NOTHING to offer. they esp don’t want to hear about “the good ol’ days”

I don’t know. I got old when I was 40 ( genetic movement disorder) and things have been going downhill since my hysterectomy in 2000. There’s something about losing your hormones ( for a woman) that tells Nature to throw you on the scrap heap, no more possibility of babies! Now I feel like an [...]

I figure the republicans DO NOT want this mess handed back to them. they would have no one to blame. I have seriously toyed with the idea of handing it back to them; just let ‘er rip and see how well the righties like it then. Of course, they’ll still blame everything on the “libbies” [...]

Kassandra commented on the diary post Barbara Ehrenreich: Looting the Lives of the Poor by Tom Engelhardt.
What better scam than to prey on those who have no voice. Even voting rights are taken away. If you get a felony for something your parole officer dictates your life from then on and yes, you’ll never get a job and it stays with a person for life…no statute of limitations for the poor. [...]

Kassandra commented on the blog post Why the hate? Boxer Manny Pacquiao quotes bible, calls for the killing of gays (updated)
Fearful people are dangerous people.
What is happening in the US is not different than what happened in Germany. And the elites play it for all it’s worth.
Divide and conquer.
It’s probably very similar to the climate right before the Civil War, only this time the demagogues have OUR paid for media outlets to reach even more nutcases.
I don’t see a good outcome from this, esp if Obama is re-elected and the PTB need him to be so they can distract US from the serious problems we’re in.
They’re turning it into the good ol’ standby they always have “IT’S THE SINNERS!!!!” GET ‘EM!!!!Meanwhile the country is sold out from under us and the ice sheets melt
