HUH? “Obamacare” coverage doesn’t begin until January 1st, 2014

If Insurance Comapnies are unwilling to make this work, they can be reminded that “Single Payer” was our first option.

If your friend – or anyone – loves his Kinkaid print…let him love and enjoy it in peace. I make my living as a classical oil portrait painter and am hyper-aware of what hangs on people’s walls. I’ve seen some awful stuff that people are pleased as punch that they own. Who are we to step [...]

Kinkaid got people who couldn’t afford it to “invest” in his art. I met some of those folks. They took their kid’s college money and their retirement funds and “invested” in his art because he told them the price would go up. They knew nothing about art – but they trusted another “christian” and felt [...]

What a delicious tribute to a self-deluded man who battered the art world and preyed upon the poor fundamentalists who thought Jesus told him to be a painter – rather than a Republican candidate for President (even though he had the cred). Thom left us a world of bad (but not cheap) art and left [...]

FDL was a light through those dark Bush years and thoughts of Caribou Barbie in our White House. Now I’m drowning in a tsunami of toxic corporate tea….and find that there is a chance to join others who are as far left as I am.

Woo Hoo! Your Membership Price is is far cheaper than moving to Canada and much more satisfying.

Thanks for shdding some light on this man. To my mind the issue is still “political” because:

    1. The GOP has got to be accountable for destroying the protections of the “Brady Bill” and allowing everyone to easily purchase and carry guns nearly everywhere (as of last week -inside the NH State House; churches, State and National Parks, etc.)

    2. This sick young man and his parents ought to have had access to decent affordable mental health care and medication.

    3. 24/7 right-wing hate radio and the likes of Glenn Beck on FOX who claim that it is merely “entertainment” to pretend to be Obama and pour gallons of gasoline over an “American Citizen” on his teevee show.

As long as people are deluded into thinking that the only issue is that they must vote to outlaw abortion – that is, to force wnwilling women to bear unwanted children, then Party of NO will always win and turn us into a third world bannana reublic.

They just don’t think, do they?

Yes you speak for me. and And I am packing my bags and considering a move to a democratic socialist country where the bullies don’t reign and people are happier….like Denmark, Sweden, Norway…..

I do wish you’d crank it down a notch about “zionism” and carping that Stewart is proud of his Jewish roots. Why shouldn’t he be? As to 9/11, Stewart appears to have cognitive dissonance about this event – like most Americans. However, you’re not going to “cure” his uncomfortable inability to look at the truth [...]

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the “Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear” (except my sign made me look fat). The only way to deal with the political fringe is to laugh….and then VOTE.
