I disagree with David about Hahn/Bowen. I think neither is progressive but Bowen is much more corporate-minded. The fact that Bowen took Enron money while sitting as Chair of Energy Committee in CA during the time of the blackouts and declined to vote on re-regulation says it all about Bowen’s integrity and interest in protecting the people of CA. I think Hahn is a better politician and more responsive to the people in her district. She’s probably under-informed on most issues she’ll be dealing with but I think is open to persuasion, while Bowen is simply a corporate shill all over.

I love these shows. I download and listen at my convenience. Heard things no one else is talking about that has definitely influenced my thinking. Not the same old tired arguments and talking points of “the left.”

i don’t travel much. But next time I do… my plan is to stand in front of those machines and strip. Take off my clothes. After all, why should so few strangers get to see me naked? I’m 60. I look pretty damn good. But I will not worry that this will be perceived as a ploy for sexual attention. I would not necessarily want to see my naked body go viral but it would go further than any petition to make the point about the kind of abuse that is going on.
