LaurenG commented on the blog post Anti-gay parenting study a false manipulation from the start
“Faith based science”? That’s quite an oxymoron!

LaurenG commented on the blog post Scott Lively’s Ignorance Provides A Teachable Moment About The Definition Of Bisexuality
I’s annoying as hell, I have been in relationships with men and relationships with women. But always one at a time. I was born bi, I am bi, and I’ll die bi. He really is confused. And kind of stupid.

LaurenG commented on the blog post The Religious Protections Were Good Enough For Archbishop J. Peter Sartain, So Why Is NOM-Rhode Island Complaining?
MOM is fighting to maintain its revenue stream. It’s all about the money, this is America after all.
These people it’s only a matter of time before they are confined to the dustbin of history. They want to grab whatever money they can because it’s over for them.

LaurenG commented on the blog post Golden Globes: Jodie Foster comes out (again) in debated speech about privacy
It seems like the whole fuss is that she said “I’m…single” when a lot of people wanted her to say Lesbian, or Bi, or Gay. That hesitation seems to be bothering a lot if people.

LaurenG commented on the blog post Colin Powell on the obvious: the GOP is polluted with racists
He said that he voted for Obama twice. Doesn’t he realize that the party of Eisenhower is gone?
-
LaurenG commented on the blog post Pentagon Internet filtering blocks major LGBT, political blogs (including PHB), lets hate groups through
They are probably behind in the repeal of DADT, given the inefficiency of large bureaucracies. And the leadership probably doesn’t care about it enough to prioritize it.
After all, we’re just “those” people.

LaurenG commented on the blog post Christian Civic League of Maine Tries To Guilt Town Clerks Into Shirking Their Duties
It’s their job. They can always quit.

LaurenG commented on the blog post Gender Identity Disorder Diagnosis Is Quietly, Without Much MSM Notice, Going Away
Too bad they are focused on birth sex. If someone has sex reassignment surgery then their assigned sex now matches their identity.
There is no conflict between my experienced gender and my sense of what my gender is any more. Therefore why should I be pathologized for a condition that was cured with hormones and surgery?

LaurenG commented on the blog post Failure of the American conscience: Walmart reports record Black Friday sales despite 100-city worker strike
It’s scenes like this that make me think that the eventual extinction of the human race isn’t such a bad thing :/

LaurenG commented on the blog post Kicked off of the air on CNN, Bryan Fischer says: CNN is ‘What the Gay Gestapo Looks Like in Action’
He certainly has strong feelings about being gay. He’ll jump on any manifestation, no matter how small. So why was he wearing a pink shirt? LOL

LaurenG commented on the blog post Preserve Marriage Washington is Buying Facebook “Likes” from Thailand
Facebook is supposedly cracking down on this kind of fraud. I don’t know how it works but I hope NOM gets caught (again) defrauding the public.

LaurenG commented on the blog post They can’t win on ideas, so for the GOP it’s about stealing, suppressing and screwing with the vote
Seems like the real voter fraud is the GOP’s shenanigans…

LaurenG commented on the blog post Preserve Marriage Washington Gives Churches Illegal Fundraising Instructions
Specifically the Catholic and Mormon churches have devoted an enormous share of their operations to political influence. They are really nothing but large PAC’s and those two institutions should be taxed as civil political organizations.

LaurenG commented on the blog post For the homophobic win: same-sex scandal-ridden Florida Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll
She’s bisexual. Her error is in cheating on a monogamous relationship.
There is nothing inherently unusual abut being bisexual., Cheating on a committed relationship, however, is dishonest at the least.

LaurenG commented on the blog post President Obama kicks off its appeal to LGBT community for its votes…and buxx
For good or bad, Obama is the best shot we have. Whatever the motivation, he has done more for us than any other President.
Do you think we would have half a chance in hell with
MoneyRomney? We have to make the best of what is available. -
LaurenG commented on the blog post Actress Cynthia Nixon ‘muddies the waters’: being gay is a choice (for her)
Interesting…she is in denial all right, denial about being just a plain old bisexual. We’re not so scary, sheesh!

LaurenG commented on the blog post Are You ‘Going Purple’ Against Bullying for Spirit Day on Thursday?
Purple is easy for me, I LOVE purple and now I have an excuse to wear all solid purple from my toes to my nose!
Sadly, my cow-orkers don’t seem to have caught on. An educational moment for them!

LaurenG commented on the blog post Completely f’d up: gay Republican on why he’d vote for…Rick Perry
You may all live in states with no protections for LGBT rights, but for those of us who live in Massachusetts, which has has marriage equality since 2004, a Republican president or Congress would be a complete disaster.
Obama may be an inexperienced senator in over his head, but do you seriously expect the Republicans to do anything other than rape the entire country and leave it worse than when Bush left?
Obama may not have the courage to stand up for hes convictions, assuming he had any, but at least as a second term president he would not be constantly campaigning for another term. That is the reality we face, like it or not.
