My humble opinion?
Social Security has been being robbed over the years to the tune of a couple of Trillion dollars. BOTH GOP and Dems have thought it was their own little nest egg to do with as they wished.
Now? They want to ‘redo’ SS and Medicare but I’d say regarding SS specifically is they do NOT want to pay it back. In reality they’re just thieves and self serving idiots (both red/blue) posturing their infamous ‘dance’; the tango of fear which so many uninformed citizens buy into lock, stock and barrel.
