YES! Thank you, I loathe the term cis-gendered. I find it hard to imagine some people as organic molecules with bonds off to one side!

I agree with Ru. It’s about EGO, it’s about how you see yourself. If we keep treating it as a bad word then it will always mean something bad. Forcing apologies is only going to reinforce that.

I agree. It was definitely an over reaction on the part of Colon. The store employee did not deny her a service, nor subjected her to judgement or humiliation. If she had not said anything, it would have not mattered what gender the employee thought she was. And that’s how it should be. I am on occasionally confused as being trans and its flattering. But I would be insulted if a changing room attendant stopped me and asked to verify my sex before entering.
