Pam I want to say first and foremost thank you for your undying support two years ago when I had my car accident. Your words of encouragement (as well as commentators) during my darkest moments after surgeries and then later a heart attack in no small way helped me get through it all. Even today when I have bad days of pain or discomfort in my leg and/or hip I remember or go back and look at what you and others wrote.
Your blog was among the first I read when deciding what kind of blog and topic to write about. From its beginning at Hearst Newspapers Focus On The Rainbow tried to make a small difference in presenting to at that time a straight readership what LGBTs were all about.
As it progressed to a stand alone blog taking different spins on LGBT topics and news it was your writings that did continue to inspire.
But as with you all things come to an end, the LGBT world has progressed, alas with more to go, but I frankly have run out of things to promote or as you know, complain about.
There are others who will continue on, unfortunately copy/pasting from one to another.
For me it was time to write on another topic and in some way teach at the same time. That topic being radio and the history of, having worked in the business.
When one loses interest its time to move on as I have done, to not do so becomes a disservice to readers if not the topic which one writes about.

The vast majority of these so-called strikers and protesters weren’t even Walmart workers …. they were union members of the unions which wish to get Walmart employees to come on board or other unions and even Occupy twits.
Here in Danbury a union which is on strike against a convalescent home in town staged a protest claiming they were Walmart workers which was proven they were not.
The union(s)trying to organize Walmart workers could care less about them .. all they see is the vast number of Walmart workers in the US and the billions (with a B) it will put into union coffers.

Here’s two more things the Republicans will be hoping for on Election Day.
Bad weather (I kid you not .. usually lower voter turnout among Demos during bad weather Election days) and voter apathy by the Demo voters who think “we have this one in the bag”.
As much of an idiot Romney appears to be … yes he could win.
