Ah, I see, it’s the second “Join US” box (the one I was clicking on) alongside the beginning of Jane’s article that is not https. The headline box/banner is, indeed, https.

Maybe I’ve fallen behind the times, but it’s not https and I don’t see any secure “lock” icon in either Firefox or Safari. Only trying to be helpful, btw.
