Bloomberg will replace escalators with car elevators, ala Mitt Romney. They’re one and the same for 1% solutions.

“violating the Intelligence Identities Protection Act”.
Now, isn’t that what Rove, Cheney and Sooter Libby should have been charged with? Why is the Obomber War Crimes administration going after a legitimate, conscientious whistle blower and not the Bush Administration War Criminals? Because the powerful support each other, even in crime. And that cowardly clown Obomber wants me to vote for him again? No way, never.

“The federal health care reform law would not allow Vermont to enact single payer until 2017; Vermont is asking the administration to grant it a waiver so that it can get there even faster, by 2014.”

maineindependent commented on the diary post The Cost of Health Care in Europe: The Debut of Professional Wrestling on NPR by Dean Baker.
The GOP incompetents, the young Rethuglicans that George Bush put into their civil service jobs, have burrowed in deeply to sabotage Dem government. Talk about “sleeper cells”; the Rethugs have perfected them. The Obomber Administration’s first job should have been to put those bastards in cellar office rooms with no windows, computers or phones, and [...]

maineindependent commented on the diary post The Cost of Health Care in Europe: The Debut of Professional Wrestling on NPR by Dean Baker.
I gave up on NPR during Gulf War I. All you need to know about NPR is that Cokehead Roberts is still a “political analyst” and most of the funding is now big corporations like Archer Daniels Midland and others. They’ve been a private club for many decades, with the “Queen of NPR”, Susan Stamberg, [...]

Why is the MSWHOREM, in the form of CNN, having Gov. Scott Walker on?
It would appear that CNN is trying to be helpful to give Walker a platform to fight his recall. Any chance they will have any opponenets of Walkers policies on? Unlikely.
The “liberal” media indeed.

maineindependent commented on the blog post Indiana’s Republican Secretary of State Convicted for Voter Fraud
I doubt anyone here would defend the excretable Evan Bayh, or mourn his conviction for anything. He’s the very worst of Dems, that is, a Rethuglican Dem.

maineindependent commented on the blog post Indiana’s Republican Secretary of State Convicted for Voter Fraud
Evan Bayh is a “conservative”Dem, therefore, a Rethug. You’re right, he’s guilty. Because in reality, he is a Rethug. Thanks for pointing that out to us.

maineindependent commented on the blog post Chicago City Council Passes Rahm Emanuel’s Anti-Protest Ordinances
I think that requiring a list of protest signs is a clear violation of the first amendment. I hope this all goes to court. I think organizers should just list the signs as “this space intentionally left blank”. The repression is getting unbelievable. What do the elites fear? Revolution? Remember Chicago 1968.

maineindependent commented on the blog post Obama Has Proven to Be an Adamant Opponent of Marijuana Reform
Mr. Sullivan, it must be hard to have gay sex with your head so far up your ass. I can’t believe that anyone would give your “long game” rationale any creedence. Obama has clearly revealed himself to be what both Howard Zinn and Ralph Nader predicted. If you don’t know what I am refering to, then Google it. They are right, you are VERY wrong. Obama is a disaster. If the Dems had any sense (should I continue) they would primary him. But they won’t, because the thought of having a good president scares them for some reason.

maineindependent commented on the blog post The Closing Argument Delivered by the Government at the Manning Hearing
“the video was closely held on SIPRnet”
I guess it was classified as Official War Porn for viewing by the elites in the White House and Pentagon along with the Abu Ghraib and Gitmo videos. Which they all probably jacked off to. Closely held indeed.

maineindependent commented on the blog post The Closing Argument Delivered by the Government at the Manning Hearing
Criminal behavior by the US military is SOP, from the top down. I had intended to work with returning vets in a rehabilitative setting (I’m in mental health rehabilitation), at a large VA hospital (TOGUS-Maine) and in community settings. Once I saw that video I was so disgusted, that I shelved that intention. Those “professional volunteer soldiers” are sick bastards, living out their blood lust. They have lost my respect and support until the US military admits its crimes and starts rehabilitating, and/or imprisoning its criminals–from the top down.

maineindependent commented on the blog post Bradley Manning Pre-Trial Hearing: Live Blog, Day 3
I get sick of hearing that the military is “defending our freedom”. When was the last time we were fighting a defensive action or war for “our freedom”. WWII? Not Korea, that was the imperialist effort to control the world. Same in the Mid East. Not Afghanistan, that was about punishing the Taliban for not letting the pipeline go through. Not Iraq either. It’s the stock answer when asked what our military does, because people are so damn ignorant. Our military is our way to beat our foreign/economic poicy into other country’s accepting it. That is all. Has nothing to do with “freedom”. Especially for our victims.

maineindependent commented on the blog post Obama to Iran: Please Give Me Back My Drone
I knew a guy who worked in somewhat secret military software who said that the so-called stealth bomber that was shot down over Serbia during that Clinton adventure was tracked by their radar for eight minutes, which kind of freaked out the US military.
Turns out the Serbs had spotters near the NATO air bases in Italy and they would just call in on their cell phones when they saw fighters/bombers taking off for runs. Pretty low tech, and effective.
