It’s like the NRA always says–it’s not guns that kill people, it’s overhyped, pseudo-religious linebackers that do.

Hope the whole gang rush thing works out better than when the British army tried it in 1916.

It’s true, poor Ross Douthat has gotten a lot of sneers from the Jockocracy, and has been dismissed by the in-crowd. If by “jockocracy” you mean “the internet,” and by “in-crowd” you mean “nearly everybody who reads the New York Times.”

Perhaps seeing me tonite excited you so much it gave you an erection. Or maybe you are just carrying a hard penis-like object in your pants pocket, in which case my mistake.

markg commented on the blog post President Buck Wild Would Like To Dance Wif Your Date
“It made people laugh. It made them want to repeat it, which is the best free media of all, the line people can’t resist saying in the office.”
If I worked in an office where people couldn’t resist quoting Mitt Romney laugh lines, I’d quit my job. However, since no such offices exist outside of Peggy Noonan’s mind, I’m not too worried about it.

markg commented on the blog post Also, Too, Bless Her Heart.
I’d genuinely love to see a before/after comparison. You know, what she looked like back when she was a run of the mill republican congressional intern/hooker vs. today’s trophy wife, if by “trophy” you mean the scarcely human botox monster pictured above.

To complete today’s quinella, he also announced that lobbyists are one of the two groups (families being the other) now exempt from the new State Capitol pay for speech rules. didn’t want to inconvenience his masters, possibly. Rick Scott, eat your heart out.

Rachel Abrams: ridiculously verbose and poisonous at the same time. What a combo. and “stargazers and … other oceanic carnivores?” I don’t even know what that means.

you can tell from the picture that what he lacks in experience, education, and intelligence he makes up for in charisma. Or maybe jowls. I’m not sure which.

markg commented on the blog post Wisconsin Progressive/Labor Alliance Gears Up for Major Electoral Test Tomorrow
I initially thought that the other big races in Madison and Milwaukee would drive turnout for Kloppenburg, but now I think it’s the other way around. it’s clear that this race is a referendum on Walker, and the Kloppenburg forces are sky high. If we can’t win it with this level of enthusiasm, we’re basically fucked, looking at failed recalls down the road and 4 more years of Walker doing basically what he wants. If you know anyone in Wisconsin who might be wavering or undecided, please urge them to vote for Kloppenburg.

markg commented on the blog post Polling Shows Tight Race for Wisconsin State Supreme Court
I don’t either. especially since Kloppenburg is getting a big boost also because her two strongholds, Milwaukee and Madison, are having big local races that will boost turnout even more. (county executive in the former, county executive and mayor in the latter).
