Mena commented on the blog post Comments on Sen. Harry Reid’s Facebook Page Illustrate the Need for ENDA
It looks like Pavlov’s conservatives are out in force there. The third one down doesn’t realize that he or she came out as bi, and there’s always someone who uses it as an opportunity to wail about Muslims. Yes, it would be worse in Saudi Arabia but that doesn’t make it good here. Let’s not forget “Think of the cheeldrriiin!” It must suck to have your entire intellect formed by two brain cells fighting for air, or Fox. Not that there’s a difference.

Mena commented on the blog post Religious right portrays Jason Collins as threatening black man who has ‘butt sex’
Maybe if Tebow had Matthew 6:5 painted on his face he wouldn’t get “bashed” as much. He’s such a martyr, dontchaknow.

Mena commented on the blog post Why gays get angry – when the ‘butt sex’ Christian meets the discredited researcher
Yeah, if you look at their profile it’s the same message over and over.

Mena commented on the blog post NOM Stoops to Nasty Twitter Attack on Same-Sex Families, Marriage Equality
I’m sure that anyone with a Facebook account has seen this but for those who haven’t, let’s let George Takei lighten this up a bit.

Mena commented on the blog post Janet Porter’s latest anti-gay video is both hilarious and pathetic
So, the gist of her message is that it’s wrong to persecute people for their lifestyle choices? The irony is awesome. Her thinking that Christianity is a choice, even though people change religions all the time, and she does think that being LGBT is a choice although the conversion camps have changed no one except some serious self loathers just makes the whole thing even more pathetic and hilarious.

Mena commented on the blog post Fox News Bad Reporting Spins Inaccurate Story About Middle School Anti-Bullying Workshop
I know that I really shouldn’t be amazed at how vivid the imagination of the right wing base is but yet again, they are really coming up with a doozy. Think of how much better the movie industry would be if these people used their “talents” for the forces of good and wrote scripts. Not twisted homophobic anti-liberal stuff, regular stuff. We wouldn’t be stuck with yet another reboot, sequel, or remake of a 60s tv show. Alas, they have aligned themselves with teh stoopit and hate.

Mena commented on the blog post NOM Wants To Be Rewarded For Its Failures
Brian Brown should run for Congress. He has that getting paid for not doing anything and failing at what he actually tries to do thing down pat.
-
Mena commented on the blog post NOM Wants To Know What You Would Do
I’d wonder how any 8 year old managed to marry anyone, but these people also think that pets and farm animals can also get married so I guess I’ll just have consider the source.

Mena commented on the blog post This latest anti-gay video will make you weep
I couldn’t get past the howling third rate 70s wannabe metal singer and the dead Civil War soldier because it was getting way more sanctimonious than is probably allowed in their guide book. I’m also not sure how the Civil War soldier fit in, did gays cause that too?

Mena commented on the blog post NOM supporters contradict organization’s message
I’m worried about the same things as that first woman, but not because of marriage equality. Those things seem to be happening because people are watching Fox and are completely unable to use any critical thinking skills to analyze what they are being told. Maybe we should start an organization to ban that instead?

Mena commented on the blog post Paul Cameron is a symbol of the lgbt community’s failure to take the initiative
On a related note, I was wondering if he got his “facts” from his gerbil friends.

Mena commented on the blog post NC: Teahadist Lawmakers Propose Bill to Institute a “State Religion”
The more these people yammer the more obvious it is that although they scream about being super patriots and holier than everyone they have read neither the Bible nor the Constitution. The stupid, it burns! Unfortunately it’s burning the very fabric of the US more than any same sex marriage ever could or would.

Mena commented on the blog post Dave Agema saga exposes the lies of the anti-gay right
Doesn’t this guy realize that all anyone needs to do nowadays is use the Internet to find out what is really going on? Same sex sex isn’t exactly kept under wraps these days and there’s a heck of a lot of porn out there. I’d be surprised if any of it included gerbils. Anyone curious can find out how it’s all managed and that there are a lot of sadomasochistic porn sites for heterosexuals. So many that Google safe search is my best friend at this point. My husband found out the hard way that leaving it off and doing something completely innocent like an image search for “pants” could go terribly wrong. I just tried it, they must have tweaked something but it was pretty bad.

Mena commented on the blog post Family Research Council exploits Matthew Shepard’s murder to justify discrimination
Stuff like this is why I don’t think that the anti-bullying groups will get far in the US. Bullying seems to be our national past time, although usually it’s using the law to do it and religion as an excuse. The agenda of people wanting equal rights in America. Only the nut cases like this group can spin it so that people think that that’s a bad thing. Are we a second world country yet?

Mena commented on the blog post Family Research Council resurrects old claim attacking same-sex families
No, but he’s probably upset about that too. Being professional martyrs is all these people know.
-
Mena commented on the blog post Scott Lively’s Ignorance Provides A Teachable Moment About The Definition Of Bisexuality
Isn’t polygamy the form of marriage that God intended? It’s in the bible, why do he and so many other “Christians” think that they can redefine marriage and go against God’s will?
-
Mena commented on the blog post NOM puts its hypocrisy on full display
It would be a lot more accurate if that graphic had “Christianity” in the place of “gay marriage”, but only in the case of NoM and groups like them. They have made “Christian” and “asshole” synonyms. I find that sad even though I’m not religious.

Mena commented on the blog post American Family Association faces reader backlash after attacks on Tim Tebow
“Dr. Jeffress is a man of unconditional love and will gladly receive him back.”
Yeah, it’s unconditional love, not dollar signs flashing in his eyes when he thinks about the donations that might come with having Tebow there.

Mena commented on the blog post Illinois Senate Passes Marriage Equality Bill With Bipartisan Support
Porno Pete hasn’t posted anything about this lately, just a link to a radio show. Judging by his copious use of scare quotes I’m going to have to assume that he either may not want people to know that he failed in the state he lives in or that he stroked out.
