You must be thinking of someone else? She wrote a book entitled “Losing our Religion: The Liberal Media’s Attack on Christianity”, which certainly doesn’t seem like a tome that an Atheist would write.

Where’s the Garden part of the Rose Kennedy Memorial Garden? Looks like pavers to me. What were the Occupiers supposedly destroying by their mere presence? That little portion that can barely be seen in the pic? That is not how I imagined the site at all(based on the fuss over the “plantings” that were being [...]

Unless you and your wife are a same-sex female couple, it’s offensive that you would assert that your wife, accompanied by you, a male, would need to be fearful of sexual assault to attempt to make a point that OWSers are infringing on your right to walk in a public space. Women accompanied by males are extremely unlikely to face such an assault, while unaccompanied women face that risk everywhere they go, at all times-including walking to their parked car after work or shopping-or walking around any public space-or even in the supposed safety of their own homes. Frankly, I’d feel safer around the OWSers than I do around the non-activist, un-evolved males lurking in the dark in suburbia.

I doubt there are CU’s whose by-laws allow them to do cc servicing on a national basis for a non-member corp, even assuming there are CU’s who have the capacity to do so. The Axis of Evil-Chase, Citigroup and BoA-have a lock on the vast majority of cc servicing, due to the fact that they [...]

My Tracfone costs $21 for 90 days and 60 minutes of usage(which rollover). It works pretty well for me-though I don’t like yakking on the phone so I only use it when necessary-I use email more since I’m paying for internet access anyway-you might want to check them out.

What the heck are you talking about? The Libyan people are impoverished, while he funneled Libya’s wealth to himself. Maybe the people of his own tribe made out okay but everyone else? Not so much. Inadequate clean water, crappy education and crumbling infrastructure. Doesn’t much matter what gas costs if you can’t afford a car. [...]

Yeah, everyone who would like to express their point of view should bring a tent and occupy! There’s cardboard and markers for everyone!

Thanks for this. I thought it was just me cuz I have always felt like she was mostly an Obama fangurl-though I do think she has done some great work on Dr. George Tiller’s murder and the WH Kabuki on the Gulf disaster. These days, it seems that GOPers and their moronic debates is all [...]

Who were the two GOPers who voted against? I looked at the vote record but couldn’t find them. Just curious. Thanks if anyone knows!
As to the supposed D’s who voted in favor-the Big Tent is not large enough for you so do everyone a favor and switch to the cretinous party you rightly belong to! No one gives a fig if you can’t get re-elected by being truthful about your ideology. Buh-bye!

Good bye and good luck! Maybe you could start your own blog, where you could really crap all over those who have shuffled off this mortal coil-without fear of moderation. Bet it would be a hoot. Peace! Occupy everywhere!

midcenturymod commented on the diary post RIP Steve Jobs by cmaukonen.
He was a unique combination of brilliant mind and winning personality and his death is a huge loss. Why don’t the wealthy celebrities-who are so generous with their advice to the occupiers-open up their professionally-decorated living rooms to them as warming centers? Or, at least, foot the rent for some apartments? They don’t need advice-they need funds and celebs are in the 1% who has them. Susan, Deepak, Russell, anyone?

Ahhh… That’s why Megs is getting a mere $1 per year in salary. The media is comparing her salary to Steve Jobs’-I knew there had to be something else that they weren’t telling us-apparently, it was the $13M sign-on package.
