msmolly. I don’t engage constructively with destructive people. I don’t find this place constructive in the least bit.
The writers here working their behinds off to trash Democrats, even Feingold after a couple of his votes, just seems counterproductive to me.
I guess my major gripe with this place is I don’t see what their agenda is. To me it appears they’ve found their niche to cater to an anti-establishment readership and throw them red meat because it produces loads of clicks because many readers enjoy jumping on the trash the establishment bandwagon.
I guess I’m more of a try and nudge the establishment in the right direction. Not throw a wrench in it and completely derail it.
Anyways, sorry to disrupt your blog. Cheers.

“Welcome to another damn thing for me to pay attention to.”
Yah seriously. Get back to trashing the administration. We need some red meat to feed on. Weez gettin’ hungriez.

1) Are you afraid of trying for a death sentence.
Nope
2) Do you really want a rookie flying your most complex plane?
I don’t know who the prosecutor is to be honest.
But if you’re saying….It doesn’t matter anyway bc they have tons of evidence against KSM? then…
You just answered your own question. What does it matter?
Thanks for the back and forth.. eat me for the other snarky poops on here.

I don’t get it.

Only problem is this I see. In most courts of law, torture would probably be justification enough to throw the whole case out.
Or are we going to assume Yoo’s/Thiessen torture justifications will hold up in civilian court?
I just don’t see this case being so cut/dry as your standard terrorist case for the reason I stated above is all

If Khalid is tried in a military court, will it affect anyone’s life here in a bad way?
I guess I don’t see what the big deal is.

What scum.
He just stole food off the table of teachers to give to Koch.
Congratulations lazy Dem voters and those thinking they were teaching Obama a lesson by not voting.
The crazies are now in charge.

I really didn’t want to re-litigate from the last post but since we’re throwing the Obot and GOP troll names around I am forced to defend myself…after I get home in about an hour or so…

Now shoo, we were just bashing the fascist dictator crushing the rebellion in his state.

Police crackdown to impose budget.
Ordering police to crackdown on protesting groups reminds me of somewhere I’ve seen on T.V. lately.
Wonder when the tanks roll in.

It appears to be the FDL norm.
Attack, attack attack and then feign victim when someone attacks you back. I see it from the top all the way to the mods here.
Soon I’ll be silenced for having a different opinion for certain. But hey, it’s your blog and I understand other opinions don’t help you in your quest to get everyone mad at everyone. Having an angry following helps with the $$$. That’s why Fox does it. That’s why the right wing does it. It’s only logical that’s why you do it.
Anyways, I’m gone for real now. Enjoy the echo chamber of hate folks.

“Just saddened by a ~~~Edited by Moderator. Do not call other commenters names. Attack the idea~~~ is all I guess.”
So, calling the President shitty is mature but calling you names hurts your feelings?
Why the double standard?

“Just saying that Obama has nothing that presents itself as remotely progressive”
Look, I could go through the legislation he’s signed while in office that could pass a progressive sniff test but I’m sure you’d find others things to counter them that wouldn’t be considered 100% progressive.
Having signed off on a piece of legislation that doesn’t satisfy progressive 100% doesn’t negate any legislation that would pass as progressive.
It appears most everyone on this site has made up there mind and I’ll let you all continue in your echo chamber of hate.
Have a nice day.

“I’m sorry you’re so angry. It makes me sad.”
Sad that a bunch of sorry peeps have their panties in a knot and decide to sit on their hands while the crazies take over?
Not angry. Just saddened by a ~~~Edited by Moderator. Do not call other commenters names. Attack the idea~~~ is all I guess.

“Having a demonstrative Republican in the WH would accelerate this across the country far better than having a smooth-talking “Democrat”
If you need it explained again, let me know.”
Really?
OK. So having Republicans in control will be better for progressive causes.
Why don’t we just elect 100 Republican Senators, Sarah Palin and fill the House with more Republicans!
That makes perfect sense. Please continue to explain to me.

“Can you explain how supporting Obama in ’12 will further any progressive causes?”
Motivating people to help GOTV and other important efforts needed not only for the national ticket, but also for local state positions which have just as much, if not more impact on individuals lives.
I for one don’t want to live in a theocracy and if I think people are sitting around criticizing and encouraging others to stay home and that could adversely affect the people in my county and state in a bad way, well then, I’ll continue to try and encourage people to redirect their anger at the people hellbent on destroying the work done in past generations to better our society.

That’s great eCAHNomics, the guy has a blog. So does everyone on the internet.
That still doesn’t explain how attacking what will most likely be at the top of the ticket will help everyone down the ticket. I mean, from what I’m hearing, people here would just rather stay home in protest and allow the crazies to take over.
I don’t understand how that helps.

“Go live in fear somewhere else. I’d rather let the wing-nuts take power so people will wake up and rise up faster.”
Live in fear of what? No clue what you’re talking about.
I’m talking about not having a bunch of idiots take over that want to turn this country back to the 1400′s. What’s so wrong with that?
I just don’t see how attacking the top of the ticket is supposed to help you further your cause.
Can someone here explain how attacking Obama in 2012 will help further progressive causes because I can’t seem to figure how exactly that works?
“I didn’t make him a shitty DINO prez. Stop blaming the messenger.
Juan Cole pointed out wrt ME that when your vote doesn’t matter, not voting is a completely rationale response.”
So, because some guy I don’t really know or care about explained something in some form of twisted logic to justify his not wanting to vote, that justifies allowing the crazies to take over?
I just don’t see how that helps progressive causes when the crazies take over tbh.
-
mikefromArlington commented on the blog post Wisconsin Senate Democrats Walk Out, Threaten Quorum on Public Employee Bill
“vs shitty DINO prez.”
Just curious how you think stuff like that will help when Obama is at the top of the ticket in ’12?
I mean, why bother to come out and even vote at that point right? The negativity will undoubtedly trickle down the ticket and further put the Dems at a disadvantage is the way I look at it.
So, would you rather have a bunch of crazies running state and local governments or a DINO that’s passed about 100 things you would never see a Republican pass that have helped what could be considered liberal/Democratic/progressive causes?
