Margaret when I lived in NM I was one of three lgbt lobbyists. I promised the transgender community that I would work my ass off to make sure we all got to the finish line together. We got both an ENDA bill and hate crimes passed, both of them transgender inclusive. We were the first in the country to cross that finish line together.

To this day I am so grateful that I can look all people in the eye and know I kept my word and that ALL my brothers and sisters are equal in the Land of Enchantment. If we talk about equality it really does mean for all, not just the better off or the better connected. Time for people to put up , shut up or get the hell out of the way. We are going to get there, together.

    2012-02-23 21:49:03View | Delete

After all the sewage that spewed from Virginia this week, coupled with the putrid discussions from the Republican candidates over the last two weeks I think all respectful men should step aside and defer to all the women around them. Don’t say a word, simply bow down and let us do the talking. All melanin [...]

Rubio will not be able to withstand the spotlight glare. There is way too much that goes on in Miami that won’t play well outside of south Florida. He is just up to his eyeballs in funny AMEX expenditures when he was head of the state R party. Plus Latinos are furious with him over his shitty immigration policies. He won’t bring in all us wayward Latinos because we know a gusano when we see one.

I am waiting for the 5:30 KTVU/Oakland news. They have gone through the 80 people arrested and are going to identify where they are fro. Also there was film of the enormous boulders being thrown at the cops and they have film of the Mercedes hitting two demonstrators. Of the local media, I feel they [...]

Not to mention gay gay gay Carson Kressley. Not a peep about him. I also see that Cher has taken to Twitter to defend Chaz.

Actually, it does make me feel less lonely and isolated. That’s why I come over hear because I know it is not just about my personal faults or something stupid that could be inferred by the haters. I know we are struggling and today my food stamps got renewed so I could get bread. In [...]

Sunday nights are such a sad time for me. Staring down the barrel of a week with no job, no income and no hope is just so overpowering some weeks I can’t do more than cry. How did everything turn to shit? That’s hypothetical of course. All I know is two years without a job [...]

Mary Tillman has incredible integrity and a real commitment to telling the truth. She is easily the bravest woman to face down these corrupt generals simply because she just keeps telling the truth.

Evil -The cloaking device we people of color have is melanin. It makes our skin darker so we are not seen unless there is a problem that needs to be blamed on a group of people. See Prop 187 in Calif, it was all those dang Mexicans who Pete Wilson was complaining about, “They keep coming.” he intoned this in a gazillion commercials. Of course never mind that we have been here way longer than Pete Wilson and his melanin challenged folks.

I just passed the two year mark without a job. I can’t even get an interview these days. So whoever thinks you just have to do whatever to scratch by is scratching themselves into a dream world that exists only between Republican ears. This month also marks a year as a 99er. We also exist [...]

Yeah do they think us Mexicans are stoopid?

Well Meg Whitman certainly did and so did the campaign manager who made enough to retire from her pitiful campaign. That is always a winning message “Get out of OUR schools and go clean my toilets.”
