I agree. I think it was 12-15 years ago when they MOTU where floating the premise of bringing down the US standard of living.
They just didn’t mean “Their” standard. -

All the top Democrats/Progressives should be jumping on this, and getting as much National airtime as possible.
Simply stating that this is what we’ve been saying All along, and now the truth comes out from your top party members.
Keep the people focused before its on to “Colbert for President”. -
momma64 commented on the blog post Marines in Afghanistan Urination Video Identified
These Marines are for the most part “Rednecks” to begin with. The training from their NCO’s mostly enforces that mindset. And even if some lip service is given to proper conduct toward “Haji”, their word for ALL Muslims, its with a wink and a nod.
The most striking part of “Restrepo” for me was the FNG’s where jumped in, Gang style to the post.
Some Captain, or Major had to sanction that behavior. -

And Reuters is reporting Republicans in Congress can approve it without the President. It a matter of commerce with other countries, or some such thing.
I knew something was going on when it got attached to the UI bill. -

momma64 commented on the blog post US, Financial Markets Pulling Strings on European Resolution
They won’t do it, ” abandon the Eurozone and default on their loans”. If it was put to a vote the member countries will in the end vote for their own pain.
Everyone wants to live like the “U.S.”, and they all got a taste of it before the collapse.
My opinion comes from the comments sections, mostly the “Irish Times”.
But then look how the election turned out in Ireland, different party but only incrementally. They had a choice of real reform, but chose to stay the course.
Just like here. No real choice. -
