Gift to BO and Dems. Sit back and enjoy the stupidity. Will make great campaign commercials.

  • I dumped Chase and EASILY found a local Credit Union. Anyone using a TARPMortgage FraudCredit Default Swap bank needs to move to a smaller bank or credit union.
I got a credit card from them as well–they do car loans, home mortgages, home equity lines of credit, etc. These banks earn transaction fees on your debitcredit transactions even if you a small amount of money as an average balance.
I have Bill pay and online access that is as functional as Chase’s. It’s not quite as pretty, but it does everything.

What a great thing Move your Money was. Something you can actually do that will make a difference. And guess what, “I love Firing people who provide me services!”

  • It didn’t help the stock market. It could have added to today’s decline. Europe is the over-riding concern, but traders haven’t paid much attention to this “Stupid Committee” thing. Tying political events to daily moves in the stock market is pretty dumb, most of the time.
The dysfunction in congress is hurting us, though some evidence is contradictory. The debt coverage ratio on a T-Bill auction today was a whopping 4-to-1. 4 bids for every dollar offered. An amazing statement for investor’s desire for US debt.

Voters may not perceive Cain as a “billionaire” but it’s well known he’s a Rich 1% type as an ex-CEO.

Cramer is at least rational, which is more than can be said of the GOP Primary candidates. On CNBC, save your special hatred for Kudlow and Santelli.

  • The amount of garbage we’ll be subjected to over BO’s lack of love for Israel will be the Repubs main focus for claiming BO sucks at foreign policy. I long for the days of ’96 when it was easier to just laugh at the Repubs. Now that was an amusing Repub primary.

Inherited a Pyrrhic victory, maybe. Don’t think O is bragging about Iraq.

I still fail to see how LC can even get on TV, Darth Vader Dad or no.

Holy crap that is an unbelievable. I hope whomever is responsible for that goes to jail. I worked for Merrill Lynch a long time ago…touching client money was a #1 No-no. Occasionally, a rogue broker would be an embezzler and it was always BIG news. To use client money to make proprietary trades? Gawd.

The Financial Services industry is doing everything to destroy what little credibility it has left. Before long, nothing will be left but High-speed traders searching for pennies, battling against each and causing flash crashes. Joe Mainstreet has left the building.

What a f@cking dope, or Liar. Did the government make Countrywide, Ameriquest, New Century, etc, etc, lure people into subprime loans — forging documents, committing fraud, and hiding fees? Or did they do that themselves to get rich? And sell the garbage as securitized “AAA” loans they had no liability for? What an idiot.

Thanks BG, many people stand behind you and support you.

  • Make ‘em stand there and talk. It would preserve the rule for these Senators, which is sometimes good. Be careful what U wish for on complete removal. Sunlight on what the Repubs are doing would kill them like the vampires they are. The media wouldn’t be able to gloss over the cloture bullsh!t like they’ve been doing for 2 years.

Agree overall, and don’t mean to nitpick, but #1 is huge.
Breaking up the Too-Big-Too-Fail Banks is not a “tiny” concession. That’s his #1 point and that alone would be huge.

  • Chris Christie’s so fat he’s running for President and Vice President.
    Bah-Bing!

This p!sses me off. TooBigTooFail banks, sucking up ca$h from the Fed, practically for free, and taking in deposits, then flinging that “free” ca$sh into whatever asset class is the flavor of the week.

  • monkeychamp commented on the blog post Bill Clinton Says He Would Use the 14th Amendment

    2011-07-19 18:40:52View | Delete

That’s a Bush thing to do, this 14th amendment cr@p. Besides, Presidents don’t declare laws unconstitutional then ignore them. What Pres has done this wout a court case before the SCOTUS?
Let the Bond market teach these GOP & Tea Party dummies a lesson.

  • I think Mormonism is pretty stupid, and a fairly illegitimate religion…am i a bigot?

  • Newt is pure political entertainment…it’s great news that he’s actually going to run.
He’ll suck oxygen out of the Repub side, and before too long he’ll say way too many outlandish, ridiculous, & contradictory statements. He’ll shoot himself in the foot whis other foot in his mouth. The only thing dumber than voting for Newt in a primary would be to fund him in one, : )

  • monkeychamp commented on the blog post Crude Oil Prices Collapse

    2011-05-05 19:31:49View | Delete

I agree with a lot of your points. I keep saying that oil futures speculation can’t be the main driver in rising gas prices. Spot prices drive futures prices and a circular relationship doesn’t make sense. However, i’ve been told by a very knowledgeable person (former Exxon employee, Chemical Engineer, and Harvard MBA) that “spot” oil prices don’t mean anything. Given that, the whole Oil futures and commodity speculation is a game with insiders and traders gaming the system. That, I buy.

  • Hopefully, we get all these Repub f*ckT@rds into a debate soon. This outta be more fun than the ’96 debates. Of course, hearing the GodFather’s Pizza Guy talk about too much Gov’t “getting in the way” of business after the housing meltdown isn’t that amusing. Times were better in ’96. Still folks, this should be fun.

  • monkeychamp commented on the blog post Holder “Disturbed” By Oil Price Manipulation

    2011-04-27 17:44:15View | Delete

The amount of contrasting theories and misinformation about Oil prices is frustrating.
I think Taibi implies that it’s Oil Futures speculation causing the problem. That can’t be right…I think the spot price of Oil is being manipulated, and the Players in the futures market reap those benefits. A huge determinant in a forwardfutures price is the spot prices and you can’t have a circular relationship. Though I would admit that large price movements in Oil Futures could influence actors in a spot market. However, they would have to “act” in the spot market to affect the price.
It takes more than a bunch of speculators trading Oil futures to affect the price of oil at the pump.
