As a dedicated Broncos fan, and dedicated Tbogg-harasser, I can tell you that Tebow is along for the ride on this one. He’s fucking up much less than his detractors (myself included) might like, but seriously, the Denver defense just held the Chargers to <14 points (at home!?!?) for the first time in how long? I’d like to think that the Broncos are a delayed metaphor for the current national condition, to whit:

As a Broncos fan, the really bone-chilling part of this metaphor is Pat Bowlen playing the part of God, ’cause that senescent fucker is as likely to pour a glass of water down his pants as he is to drink it.

The Mars Trilogy by Kim Stanley Robinson is scientifically grounded (at least compared to the really fantastical sci-fi), politically interesting, and just a great near-future story of colonizing a planet.

“Odyssey Dawn” just sounds like the title of a video game (Call of Duty: Odyssey Dawn, Splinter Cell: Odyssey Dawn), which it basically is to those in charge of the thing.

As a Denver fan, I can’t fucking stand Tebow and nearly stroked out when they took him in the first round (my girlfriend’s side-splitting laughter didn’t help, but she’s a Cowboys fan, so her opinions can’t carry too much weight).
