We are behind the entire world on health insurance.

We are interested in the buck beyond all else and it shows.

We aren’t even ashamed as a nation about our callous disregard of the human condition.

And Americans continue to vote against their own self interests.

The idea is great but we have to see how this goes down. Today I received letter from my health insurer that I am to expect Increased rate in 2013, so it’s started already. However the very idea that women are being treated as valuable and equal in the language of this law is encouraging.
We seem to get closer to the notion of equal protection and self determination and the pusuit of happiness.
I’m sure that Insurance rates would have gone up with or without these new issues being insured.

Obama not only surrendered, he collapsed.

He has in no manner acted as a Democrat and is an opportunist who decided to play ball with power.

Just loook at what he’s done re: Taxes,Bush’s wars,healthcare turned over to big drug and insurance, and throwing women’s right to choose under the bus along with Elizabeth Warren and others.No transparency whatsoever, just empty vague speeches.

Obama is no way a Democrat. He’s simply a devious man posing as Mr. Cool as he shafted 70 years of progress created by FDR,JFK,LBJ, &Clinton.

His sickening admiration of Ronald reagan says it all. He is the most diastrous president since FDR, and the most incompetent. Actually he has agreed to this surrender knowing how horribly we and future gnerations will suffer.

He cannot be stupid enough to underestimate the damage he has inflicted by complying on all things GOP since his election.

I say the Dem party is weak and corrupt and kept kissing his ring as he continued his reign of terror on his constituents and other Americans who believed his act.

He should be Primaried, but this weak party won’t do it. We must find a way to run someone agains him as right now we have two Republican parties ruining America and harming its citizens. Our financial crisis is part of his capitulation to disastrous policies and a total lack of confidence in Obama as any kind of leader.

He has been bought and has sold out hook,line, and sinker. Mostly sinker.

Obama has hijacked the democratic party for his vanity presidency whereby his fondest wish is to be “Transformational” like his idol Ronald Reagan.

He has consistently evaded and avoided his base an held them in open contempt. Obama has said “they’ve got no where else to go”.

No matter how horribly destructive the GOP has behaved, much of their currrent behavior is a direct result of political malpractice by Obama.

His advisors should be replaced but the Chicago mindset is headed by Daley running the show and doing an atrocious job of it. Were the Debt Ceiling in the hands of a competent and committed president an up and down vote would have been done and over. But…..it might have taken leadership,energy, and committment. Blend a little finely honed political strategy and courage, and Voila! you have a working leader that gets results.hat it’s all the GOP’s fault.

Obama has sold out and ceded enormous benefits to the GOP with the excuse
that it’s all the GOP’s fault. Alan Simpson the passe conservative GOP hack is his current media mouthpiece. Obama has twice conceded to extending the Bush tax cuts inspite of the pressing need for revenue.

Obama complains he’s “been left at the altar”? Strange talk. We really have 2 GOP presidents and a Tea Party.

The whistleblower who was found dead today is being touted by UK press as not suspicious. Duh. This guy was going to spill to the NYTimes in detail.

In what reality is the UK really in? Since the entire country belongs to Murdoch only a rout of the entire Murdoch empire would offer the blast of daylight Britain so badly needs.

Fox News, the WSJ,NYPost, and all the rest need deep scrutiny as it is more than likely that Murdoch spying,corruption,blackmail,and payola may have a track record here that would come as no surprise. The FBI must follow the money. Murdoch needs indepth investigation.

The Bots don’t realize that Obama is incapable of showing the fight and courage let alone political experience and skill necessary to deal successfully with the GOP.

Obama cannot find a way to seize the moment and create winning word frames to take to the American people. He has the pulpit… and either refuses to use it, or is incapable of using it. Obama is conflicted on just about every issue. What he says is not what he does.

He has mishandled the Debt Ceiling debate by not coming out swinging and fighting to the death [re: his presidency] for what could have been a defining moment by standing up for the issues and unrelentingly educate voters on these issues and offer real clarity. Most voters are concerned about daily survival and don’t understand the Debt Ceiling. It seems that
professor Obama cannot educate and explain in clear and persuasive terms exactly what this means to us.

I am left with the impression that Obama wants to look good prior to the election, but really wants to cave on entitlements. Clearly he wants this both ways and it presents him as waffling and weak. Hardly a brilliant political negotiator that sticks to his principles.

BTW what are Obama’s principles?

I didn’t believe him and and am a staunch Democrat. I did my homework in the Chicago newspapers, etc. and Googled his dealings with his backer and mentor Tony Rezko who has been in jail for several years for corruption. Obama’s sweetheart deal in buying his mansion was backed by Rezko with hanky panky. When the Chicago Sun Times did an investigative series on him his answer to the the Rezko deal? “It was boneheaded of me”. Rezko and Obama were tight politically and personally inspite of Rezko’s misuse of Federal grants to rehab Chicago slums which he did nothing about except collect the money. Nothing like having a pal in the State legislature.

Americans were exhausted by Bush and anxious to believe. So a naive electorate got snookered by Axelrod’s political machine that pilloried Hillary and marched American Idol to victory. The Media did nothing except praise Obama inspite of many facts that contradicted the saviour sell he was pushing. Who cared? He gave great speech, looked good, and we could stop feeling shitty about what we’ve done to African Americans throughout our history.

So we were betrayed twice. By Obama and then the Democratic party who wished for a new shine to their weak and tarnished image. Oh yes Obama promised powerful change and reform. He’s been over promoted,oversold, and underperformed. This is a disaster for the Democrats as they have not shown leadership in demanding that Obama stand for our core values
and negotiate hard, hard, and harder for them.

Worse yet the Democratic Leadership either didn’t do their fact checking, or were politically negligent in pushing this hard sell BS by overlooking Obama’s total unpreparedness and temperamental unfitness for the presidency. Actually no one realy knows what Obama really believes or if he believes… other than personal opportunism on the back of the Democrats who rode him to power. And after achieving immense good will and real power managed to squander it totally.

What? Obama is still out on gay community and marriage, except when he goes to a gay fundraiser in NY and collects $600,000. He speaks with both sides of his mouth, equivocates on everything and has no core positions on anything.

He was media hyped and through convincing speechifying became a media darling. Amazing that with no experience and a not so terrific back story
he was sold as a saviour. Obama was voted for largely from white collective guilt. This was America’s chance to make amends for it’s shameful history of discrimination and allowed themselves to believe this newbie was the Messiah.

His inexperience is painful to watch. His conceit and arrogance have allowed him to kiss off his base as fast as he could. He’s betrayed his base arrogantly and with open contempt for their values. He’s a pussy with the GOP and they surely know it and are playing him. Obama has neither the will or the talent to negotiate and fight back.

If the Democrats had any spine or direction, they’d run a primary. Obama should be cashiered out of the Party, but the Democratic leadership is so bad that it continues to tolerate betrayal, defeat, and the core values they claimed as their right. Timid and indecisive among GOP sharks who know how to fight for what they believe in.

The Democratic Leadership has blown it bigtime by tolerating an incompetent and arrogant newbie who has accomplished nothing and has given away the store. Obama is the worst negotiator imaginable and he continues to wade into GOP territory at his peril. And ours.

Hopey changey means nothing, but Obama used this kind of jingoism to young idealistic voters desperate for real change.

It got Obama elected, but there is little hope left.

Team Obama has shown contempt for progressives as they feel they don’t need them, but need Wall St & Co far more.

And talk about inexperience? It’s glaring.

Obamas claims can no longer be trusted. He has been wishy washy on just about every issue.

It’s not just the unions that have been chumped by Obama.

On women’s right to choose where has he been? He has been a disappointment
on all the progressive issues and has refused to confront those destroying Planned Parenthood and doing end runs around RoevWade.

I cannot vote for him again.

I don’t think that Obama is an astute politician. His fumbles,mumbles,and his lack of spine leads me to believe his main concern is re-election and to hell with progressives whom he feels he doesn’t need.

Obama is over his head and his judgement and demeanor remain timid and non controversial. His mixed messages are typical of his wanting to cover all bases, and he clearly hasn’t done anything he promised to do.

There is no vision,courage, or fight in this wan and opportunistic president.

Winters Bone is the best movie of 2010..Director of film should win as well. but Social Network will probably win. Fincher will win. Annete Benning will probably win but I would like to see the young extraordinary performance of heroine in Winter’s Bone win. Screenplay…Alan Sorkin or King’s Speech writer. Melissa Leo will win for fighter. Colin Firth probable winner and Haille. The remaining categories..I have no opinion and haven’t seen some of those nominated.

To the person here that thinks Winters Bone is Ozark Porn,I doubt they’ve ever been to the Ozarks and parts of Appalachia where this is pretty much what is in pockets of these areas. And worse. I have driven through these areas and seen this kind of deterioration. This is the other end of “The Grapes Of Wrath” in a different time.
