First of all I feel like I was reading a story written by a Rethuglican! Now lets pause for a minute a consider the simple fact that the war in Iraq is over and all our troops are coming home…………..Lets take some time to appreciate that fact! Of course we can complain that it took longer than promised and we will still have a bunch of privateers there and Im sure there are other reasons to complain too! But remember if we voted for McCain we would still be in Iraq, as well as Iran and god knows where else. Obama did not start this war but he did end it, thanks to all who faught to end it. This we can be thankful for. I know and appreciate the frustration you all feel I too feel that way especially the lost of life especially innocent Iraqis. This was a terrible, terrible war and at least we should be able to celebrate the fact it is over.

Why is she protecting her lover??? I also find this disturbing on another level. In most cases this would not be something the Rethuglicans would care about. I’m sure their have been many Majority leaders who have had affairs in the past and nobody especially in the Modern day Hypercritical Rethuglican party. There must be more to it than the sexual affair. There is a back story here and I wonder what it is.

What infuriated me most of all was his diatribe about hard working Americans who are supposed to be front and center (While he’s cutting their safety net) in the thinking of those at the bargaining table. WOW Sorry folks I have to look for the top of my head which just blew off again.

Let me tell you something the Rethugs are at this very moment producing video ads telling Americans using his words against him for cutting SS, Medicare and Medicaid and the Democrats have lost their edge in their fight against the rethuglican plan to Kill SS.Medicare and Medicaid. So you see there is real damage done here.

The difference lies in whose money it is. The Hwy trust fund is a tax and belongs to the Govt once it is collected. Whether is has or has not been used for anything else is irrelevant as far as it’s comparison to SS. In SS the fund is owned by the workers even though the employer contributes he has no stake. A person who never contributed to SS is not entitled to receive benefits. Now a person who never paid any money into the Hwy trust fund can still use the Hwy and a person who contributes into the Hwy tax fund for decades has no special claim to use the hwys. This is why SS cannot contribute to the national deficit because it is seperate from the Govt and self funding.

No because the Federal Hwy fund is general tax revenue dedicated to a specific use but could be used for other purposes if Congress saw fit. Where Social Security is Not Govt money it’s the SS recepients money placed in a Social Security Trust fund to cover future costs as in INSURANCE trust funds. That money is also borrowed upon by the Govt and those notes are guaranteed by the full faith and promise of the United States as per the Constitution.
