Yes! Some of us have been advocating this for a while, only partially tongue-in-cheek. Run Obama 2.007 against President Obama, as a “Max Headroom”-type candidate. Much cheaper than a live candidate, our virtual candidate would have low overhead, would not need Secret Service protection, can make speeches and stops wherever there’s a TV screen…

This really sucks. I have the same first and last name as that guy; but, I’m a progressive-socialist type. Unfortunately, when old friends search Google for me, they turn up this hack, and wonder: What the hell happened to Mulligan? When did he become such a corporatist asshole?
Ah well, the price of (borrowed) fame, I guess.
