Thanks for this article, FDL. Citizens can fight back to stop the government from engaging in wholesale surveillance and using license plate scanners to catalog their mobility patterns.

I’m posting from York, Pa, where we’ve been locked in a two-year battle with our local police and city council over the deployment and regulation of automatic license plate scanners in our community.
