Jim commented on the blog post Iran-West Nuclear Negotiations Will Continue in June
I’d say imposing further sanctions as the talks began had the desired effect. Iran would have simply used this as yet another stalling tactic otherwise. It’s likely they still might, but the sanctions clearly got their attention.

As opposed to Israel’s neighbors, Arafat, et al who really want/wanted peace. Give me a break.

Most so-called Liberal’s can’t handle intelligent defense of Israel. Strange, that.

Because Israel doesn’t threaten it’s neighbors with extinction. Israel has done an excellent job of NOT using it’s nukes.

Whatever. Have fun with a nuclear weapons equipped Iran who wants Israel gone and will 100% guarantee the entire Mid East arms itself.

The military personnel are following orders, yes. Not sure how you got the idea of righteousness from my comment.

Is it really necessary to take Hiroshima and Nagasaki entirely out of context and reduce it to ‘bombing innocent people’

They’re doing their job as military personnel. They’re neither sorrowful nor joyful about it. Comparing Iran with nukes to the US with nukes is just silly.

Rejoiced in doing so? Absurd argument.

False equivalencies. Iran does not need nuclear energy at all, and is using it as a means to an and.

The term is accepted to refer exclusively to Jews.

Every time we sanction Iran they laugh in our face and install more centrifuges. If reports are right, the sanctions are starting to have a real effect. Since Iran *always* uses inspections as a way to stall for time and dick around with the IAEA, it seems prudent to proceed with sanctions and put the ball squarely in Iran’s court.

Israel is not to blame for Iran pursuing an aggressive nuclear agenda and backing out of the fuel rod swap which would solved the entire problem. Iran constantly uses inflammatory rhetoric toward Israel, and literally arms it’s enemies. They block adequate inspections and make a point of announcing massive new centrifuge installments when we try to sanction them or hold them accountable for anything. Iran clearly wants to instigate us and Israel for that matter. It’s in no one’s best interests to allow them to stay on this course, since it will end in an arms race in the ME. Ok? Ok.

You might want to investigate HOW the word is used these days. Sorry I don’t agree with your points on Iran, perhaps you can find a more productive outlet for your hostility than blaming Israel.

Sorry, but your points are absurd and the ‘Zionist’ spiel IS Antisemitism, as it is baseless and hateful. Blaming Jews for defending Israel is disgusting.

Enjoy your Antisemitism.

Iran has n-e-v-e-r allowed adequate inspections, and balked entirely on the fuel rod exchange program. Going easy on them at this point would be completely ridiculous. As for ignorance, I can’t really take those who choose to pin the ‘Zionist’ label on the Iran-Israel conflict seriously.

No, but you’re complaining about the collateral damage on the civilian population from sanctions….

Ahh I was wondering.. the crew who likes to cry ‘Zionist.’ Makes sense now.

Yeah yeah I guess we should have stayed out of WW2, there were many civilian casualties too much collateral damage etc etc.
