To avoid making it worse, the U.S. should just leave, LOL, as if that would ever happen.
Wow. 1 + 1 = 2. But that’s not enough? You waiting for some flood? The more people hear about more people against this stupid war, your flood will come.

orcatjf commented on the blog post Administration May Tap Strategic Petroleum Reserves After Run-Up in Gas Prices
No, I didn’t. I started out with, it doesn’t burn gas and has no emmissions. That’s enough right there. And there are alternatives to coal and oil for generating electricity. The fact that we are not taking advantage of those opportunities is no excuse to sit back and continue burning petroleum and wait for some magic answer that solves everything all at once. I believe electric cars are infinitely better than gasoline and I took the first step. When more take steps we can develop better ways of generating electricity and along the way reduce petroleum usage. We should stop spending $113 B on oil subsidies and use it on renewable sources.

I bought a Chevy Volt. Haven’t been to a gas station since I bought it in March. Maybe we should spend the $113 Billion not on oil corporation subsidies, but on Chevy Volt and solar power generation subsidies.

orcatjf wrote a new diary post: Chicago Police Practicing
So, what do you know? What a coincidence? The Chicago police are teaming up with the military to do some routine training of urban warfare. “Routine”, you understand, for overseas deployments. They need to practice this stuff in real cities so they can get it right, like, you know, in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are [...]

orcatjf wrote a new diary post: Occupy Chicago’s New Home
Occupy Chicago never really had an encampment. Back in October of last year, they tried to establish a camp in Grant Park. The “world renown” mayor of Chicago was all over that. He had an image to create, chops to prove. Over three hundred people were arrested. Occupy Chicago maintained a presence in the financial district, [...] -

it is sad, so very sad that even now here in the 21st century, war is glorified. no thought of working with people, just kill them, we are so tough and so courageous. that is so despicable. and now he has to sing the war song about how great this nation is because we can kill anybody anywhere. pathetic.
