With regard to eating and things made in China I was surprised to realize that the skeins of garlic I was buying at my local grocery store were imported from China. I’ve long thought that if the Chinese were to cut us off we would be both barefoot and naked in a matter of months and it gave me pause to realize that now we may be becoming dependent upon them – a country with a billion people of its own to feed – to eat too? I find that prospect astounding.

Does anyone else think that it was the Vikings’ offensive that finally decided who their starting quarterback would be? I base that on the way no one seemed to rush to Favre’s aid as he lay conked out on the field. (Reminded me of Ben Roethlissberger’s teammates gazing down disinterested at his motionless body after Richard Seymour sucker punched him. Didn’t seem to be a whole lotta love their either.)
As I live in New England I’ll be rooting for the Pats today – hoping no one gets hurt – and trying not to be too disappointed with our unseasonably warm weather. It’ll be near 50F today so the fish won’t be freezing.
Last thing – only 67 days to the start of Formula1!
