I called my senators (Gillebrand and Schumer) asking them to investigate the TORTURE of Pfc Manning and I called Sen. Leahy and Sen. Sanders. All the phone answerers were polite and “pass it on to the senator”, Sander’s phone answerer said “she knew where I was coming from.”
This stinks to low hell.

We have now reached parity with the Bush administration in this horrid regard: there are so many, many outrages, so many inhumane policies afoot in the land, that’s it’s hard to keep up with them. Each one knocks the prior one off the news, if it ever makes the news. So Petreus apologized for the killing of 9 Afghan kids collecting firewood. Keep your boy scouts indoors; the amerikans are here. Will the sadness ever end?

one good result from this twirp: by confirming what was already assumed (duh)that the investigation of Manning is entailing many resources at the “highest levels” (which circle of hellis that?) he has laid the groundwork for proper reporters not to be put-off when questioning those at the “highest levels.” In short: Obama, Gates, Holder are in charge of this shit.

I saw one video clip of David house. In addition to his brave and wonderful actions in this matter, he is an extremely articulate, appealing and photogenic person. Any national press coverage which includes statements from him will be a boost to this cause.
