Palli commented on the blog post Prescription Drug Reimportation Amendment Fails Again in Senate
My senator Sherrod Brown has worked tirelessly for this idea for years and Mennedez has worked to defeat it. What a conflict of interest, Sen. Menendez, you are saying: “I’ve got mine, so hell with yours”. Safety is a concern because the corporatist lawmakers want “smaller” useless government so big pharma companies can keep an industrial monopoly.
I think we should start screaming that these senators and representatives already have national health care and we want it too!
Still some lawmakers, like Rep. Marcy Kaptur, refuse the free government health care insurance and pay for healthcare themselves.

Yeah, like Romney was too young to understand what assault was!

Palli commented on the blog post Romney on Grenell resignation: We Don’t Select People Based On ‘Their Sexual Preference’
“We select people not based upon their ethnicity or their sexual preference or their gender.” But we subtly suggest they would be happier among their own kind. With regret, of course.

Palli commented on the diary post Income Inequality: When Inequality Increases, Communities Lose Trust. by TomThumb.
The horrendous economic inequality in America- and thus immensely different requirements from government is the raison d’être for Fox News and all the right-wing noisey/nosy bullies. They must relay the impression that the majority of Americans are ultra- conservative. Dividing Americans on false political dogma is necessary because an American motto has always been Majority [...]

Palli commented on the blog post Zimmerman Pleads Not Guilty in Trayvon Martin Shooting, Will Invoke Stand Your Ground Law
I am continually amazed at the fertile imagination of some people who play hard and fast with lethal weapons while those same people display limited capacity to consider the possible results.

Palli commented on the blog post The Umbrage Game
But it advances the cause to make the awareness of income and economic injustice. Ann Romney’s tweet saying: “…believe me it was hard work” is right in line with “Let them eat cake”, Ann Romney loves her “boys” but the drudgery and hard work she knows as a house wife and mother has little comparison to the rest of us lives. It is insulting to suggest it. She may not be lying because her family is so swaddled in money she can’t see out to the rest of us.

Palli commented on the blog post Trayvon Martin Case Prosecutor to Decide By Friday
No, we are there. The bodies count tells us so. Shoot at will is so much easier than the lynching of the not so distant past.

Palli commented on the blog post The Roundup for April 9, 2012
RE: Cantor He is a power hungry careerist and wants new recruits to be his loyal acolytes when they arrive in Congress.
RE: Maldivian development Resort developers out for minimal cash outlay (cheap construction & cheap service labor) will bring rapid tourist money and down the road financial returns for the ultimate loss… perfect scenario for capitalist investors.
RE: Romney political campaign expenses I wish someone would do an analysis of these costs to illustrate how campaign expenses recycle (launder?) money as payola and blackmail within the American culture in self-serving and unproductive ways.

Palli commented on the blog post It Happens Every Spring
My family moved to Houston in 1965, the first of school integration: 36 African American kids in 10th grade at San Jacinto High School and few more at an elementary school in 4th grade. I remember going to an Astros/Milwaukee Braves game with a few friends and my parents. Though we were sitting high in the stands high above the outfield, we imagined Hank Aaron noticed us and waved. Someone else noticed our group too, because when we walked out in the rain to go home all four car tires were slashed.

Palli commented on the diary post Saturday Art: Thomas Kinkade “Painter of Light,” Kitsch, Dead at 54 by Lisa Derrick.
I am trying to resist going into my art educator mode but art and politics do mix. Looking at art to find meaning is harder than many viewers want to work. Art is communication. I can understand and agree with what someone says and dislike how they say it. Like/dislike just describes a person’s superficial [...]

Hi, artist here too, I suspect older than you and probably no wiser but certainly as content..I often held a straight job teaching in and out of art museums…evenings learning to think making objects, even if they sat in crates. Ohio Barbarian: Sorry, but you don’t think much of art do you?…up on kitsch though, I’m sure. Lisa, Good to tell the facts about this silly unimaginative man but I really don’t think the art world cares if he rises on Sunday and doesn’t. His work is irrelevant to art and it’s a stretch to [...]

Palli commented on the blog post WI-Recall: Walker Repeals Equal Pay Law
The election fraud needed for him to win in his Recall would be real obvious.
Meanwhile the Republican party has selected fake Democratic candidates to run against WALKER, the Lt. Gov. and the four recalled Assembly and Senate Republicans. Charges have been brought that define this action as a Conspiracy…and all Wisconsinites want is responsible honest government. - Load More
