TGERE IS NO FISCAL CLIFF !!!

LET THE CLINTON TAX RATES RETURN FOR EVERYONE, end the payroll tax reduction, do the defense and other cuts as agreed – and then spend as much of the new money as you like on new tax cuts and new spending.

The only “CLIFF” is the one being sold by the media as they want to pretend not doing military spending cuts is not more spending, or not doing the Clinton tax rates is not more tax cut “spending” – because they all want to be seen as doing deficit reduction -not deficit increase.

David – I do not understand why you keep selling the meme of “fiscal cliff”. Any other time the GOP would be saying the effect is deficit reduction – but that does not sound scary to liberals so liberals must scare themselves with “fiscal cliff”. Are we to pretend new spending on infrastructure and new tax cuts for the middle class is not an option to limit the amount of deficit reduction post year end?

Does does FDL exist to sell the next Obama Grand Bargain, or do we exist to tell truth – which is usually the progressive solution?
