I spent time and money to help Obama get elected and I am going to spend double the time and money to see that he is not elected again. This man is a liar and is owned by the 1%. My husband is collecting signatures to get The Justice Party on the ballot and I will do my best to get Rocky Anderson Elected. I think if Obama wins or a republican wins, it doesn’t matter. Same Same, but we need someone who will do what Obama promised. I don’t know if we will find one, but Rocky Anderson’s past shows that he seems to care about people and he is all for the 99% and Occupy Wall Street. We have to show Obama that when he lies to his base and treats us like crap, he will lose his job.

The police are out of control in this country. This man should be charged and convicted of felony assault on those women. He should then be incarcerated in the general population. A ten day loss of vacation is an insult to the public. The changes in this country in the last 30 years are sickening to this old woman.
We have gone from a society that cares about its aging and sick citizens to one that wants to take away their ability to receive medical care. We have gone from a society that allows children to make mistakes without allowing those mistakes to negatively affect the rest of their lives to one that locks them up in cages in horrific conditions and subjects them to all kinds of violence. We have millions of children living in poverty. Real poverty. What is the matter with us?
Wasn’t the second amendment really written to protect us from our government? I think we need an amendment that disarms our police officers in this country. Maybe they wouldn’t be so quick to become violent with the people they are suppose to serve and protect if those people were armed and they were not. I think they forget that they are supposed to serve and protect us. Instead they feel their role is to control us.
When I was a girl, I was taught if I was scared or in trouble to run to a policeman. I would never advise my grandchildren to go to a police officer if they are in trouble. Never. I would rather they walked into the nearest strangers house than trusted the police. What changes I have seen in my lifetime! Thankfully, there were good things too – like the internet and the microwave.

I did notice those things. I am very sick and unable to do the things I used to do so I write to my representatives and I write letters to people I think are in a position to do something and in between I write to people who are in prison like Bradley Manning to [...]

You are right. We need to look at the entire agenda of these people. It appears to me that the Republicans and the Democrats (as well as SCOTUS) are all working for rich people and corporations and we need a third option.

I agree. I have written to them about that too, but they ignore that part of the letter completely. I tried to explain that when we pay for something and we are promised something in return, that is entitlement because we are entitled to it. It’s the same thing with the word liberal.
