It just goes to show that Cutter is only in it for a paycheck. Why are almost all Democratic “consultants” just money-grabbing jerks? Do any of them believe in what the party is supposed to stand for?

    As of right now,

    , has deleted(for the 5th time, I think) his Twitter-twatter account.

Merkel, meanwhile, had to put out a fire at home after a Greek paper reported that her government suggested that Greece hold a referendum on staying in the euro alongside their Parliamentary elections on June 17.

You mean a Greek paper is trying to stick a shiv(or otherwise make her life very miserable) in Merkel? Cue Claude Rains!!

    Dr. Krugman:
It occurs to me that, although he wasn’t part of their economics department at the U. of Chicago, the President certainly acts like he was. What would it take for the President to listen to you, or Atrios for that matter(with his “No one gives a sh-t about the deficit!!” mantra)? Because people don’t care about the deficit. It’s only ever brought up when a Democrat holds the White House to stop Democrats from enacting a bigger welfare state(my guess, if the Democratic Party wasn’t so corrupt). Will a Democrat ever have the stones to use Darth Cheney’s words against those who whine about the deficit, especially in a deeply depressed economy?

… and that President Obama plans to pull aside Angela Merkel at the upcoming G8 summit and say, “I’m running for office, for Pete’s sake, come up with a growth strategy so your continent doesn’t melt down!”

Yes, but as flatly stated in that other post, the President is happily touting austerity here. Has anyone told him that he’ll be to blame if R-money is elected come November. And it won’t be because he wasn’t rewarded for doing the right thing.

Her case wasn’t helped when Representative Chaka Fattah, also a member of the progressive caucus, spoke in opposition to the amendment, citing concerns about the loss of NASA funding.

And why does a Rep. whose area covers a lot of poor Philadelphia care about NASA over predatory lenders?

    This is from MY:

Nobody’s crying over Silvio Berlusconi, but he was Italy’s elected prime minister and he lost power not in an election but it a made-in-Frankfurt call by the central bank.

Really? One of the richest men in the world got dumped by the ECB? Somehow, I doubt that.

Nance said Brunstetter insisted there was nothing racial about her remarks, but could not explain why she used the term “Caucasian.”

Ugh!! I bet the Brunstetter’s pets, if they have any, don’t even believe this.
