    I’m no fan of Politico, in fact I think they’re little more than a tabloid. But in this case it’s clear they handled the situation correctly by formally approached the Cain campaign and giving them ten days to respond.

    Instead the campaign did the usual pattern of ignore / deny / smear / admit. Cain should have had this press release typed up months ago.
