Although I agree with much of what you say – any American has the right to speak their mind to their government – let me respectfully disagree with your main point.

When he ran for President, John F. Kennedy was repeatedly asked which he would be MOST loyal to, the country or the church in Rome. It was an important question, and one he had to answer on the record.

His answer then is assuredly NOT the same as these priests today, were they to be honest. By their own words, they are MOST loyal to the Pope and to Rome, and as such are essentially a fifth column in our own body politic.

  • I do think that the Chosen Folk inside the Beltway are getting nervous. I imagine they are baffled at all this rudeness and incivility: what *are* those peasants going on about? Nothing wrong in their own gilded little world of Washington power!

It will be interesting to see how far and how openly the Property Party (Left and Right-hand branches) can push its agenda upon these “Servants of the People.”

(And yes, I’m sneering at that last phrase.)

Yes, a very dispiriting election. This President is NOT the worst ever, by a long shot. (That’s just silly hyperbole!)

But the yawning distance between his campaign rhetoric and his governing reality over the last two years leaves a very bad taste.

    Tastes like ashes…
