her two (young adult) kids and a sister are friends on her fb, so that’s a good thing. I’m sure it’s not all positive: I first learned of it incidentally via the snickers of the old high school crowd in our home-town, which is perhaps a tad less open-minded than here in Berkeley!

a long-running pun exchange with one of my brothers has now turned to literature titles for inspiration –
A sailor had inexplicable difficulty remembring some of the most basic nautical terminology. Eventually he was diagnosed with arthritis in his right knee, while the left knee remained flexible and pain-free. Fortunately he was able to use this distinction to develop a clever mnemonic device:
“Port: knee’s compliant.”
