The idea that sentence length = education is just weird to me.

Na ga da. Obama lurves him some banksters, more than food or air or his current job.

I can’t imagine working for the Obama Admin at this point. You just know that you’re going to work every morning with the precise location of the underbus that you’re expected to dive for.

Yeah, Obama’s owned by PhRMA. He’ll destroy millions of lives to give them $20 in higher profits.

Punditus Maximus commented on the blog post Illinois man caught driving 111 mph in a 45 to go have sex – and a Q about the ‘little brain’

    2012-04-27 10:50:06View | Delete

My experience is that men who do things like that routinely make very bad decisions in general.

Edwards seems to have become unhinged by the bad things in his life, and he seemed to believe that he had no option of retiring into private life to deal with them, then come back. That’s not “little brain” so much as an extended grieving process.

The other issue here I think is privilege — men are taught constantly that their sexualities are defined by conquest and total commitment, when in real life, of course sex is a big deal but there are other important things, too.

A lot depends on whether or not Obama feels he needs to be seen as “doing something”, or if he needs to signal to his bankster owners that he’s okay with dismantling the economy.

Romney, of course, feels no such conflict.

Meh, Obama’s a colonialist in the US; he’s gonna be super-colonialist overseas.

Besides, his whole schtick is to out-conservative the conservatives.

Hee. Of course, if you can find a case of “welfare-dependent” referring to a white person, you’ll have a stronger “point”.

MoveOn’s institutional approach seems to be moving away from Obama. It won’t bear fruit until well after the election, but we’ll have a nice Buyer’s Remorse Organization available for Dems who don’t want to fully admit that the DFHs were right.

We aren’t even remotely close to the Civil War point yet. If we’re at Civil War, we’re accepting the fact that we’re burying our parents, brothers, sisters, and babies, because there is no other choice whatsoever. I thought the whole point of #occupy was that we didn’t want to do that. #Occupy is, as a [...]

This is a lot of words to pretend to justify bad tactics with umbrage. Look, if you want to express umbrage and don’t care how it turns out, don’t associate with #occupy. Just do stupid, destructive stuff on your own and reap the consequences. But don’t use the nonviolent protesters of #occupy as human shields, [...]

The federal government will both force religious institutions to facilitate and fund a product contrary to their own moral teaching

Yes, because the alternative is anarchy, where religious institutions refuse to adhere to code for their buildings, follow labor laws in general, hide kidtouchers from prosecution, and otherwise operate completely outside the law as their “teachings” [...]

Another unforced error from the Obama campaign.

I like that you didn’t come up with an answer, because no one has any idea what Obama’s vision for America is.

We know what he’s doing, but that’s so inconsistent with both his rhetoric and his private life that neither he, nor his staff, nor those who try to understand him and his staff, have any notion of why they’re taking on one of the most challenging offices on the planet.

The tradeoff is that Obama will be much better on SCOTUS (imagine the Roberts court without Alito) and significantly worse on the economy (because of the co-option described above). It’s pretty much a wash, and I don’t blame anyone for either voting for Obama or staying home.
